Legion QoL changes

Hello, today I wanted to show you guys some pretty simple changes, that would make legion better and more fun to play. Tell me your thoughts in the comments! Lets start!

Power changes

  • You can start Feral Frenzy, when it's charged above 25%

With this change, Legion will be less punished, for survivor massive spliting up, or playing on large maps. Just giving ability to chain hits easier, without having to wait for that heavy recovery time

Fatigue

  • Fatigue duration is decreased to 3 seconds (before 4 seconds)
  • The Tunnel Vision is reduced (darkening of screen while in fatigue)
  • Power gauge starts to build up while in fatigue state.

That's all, I would change in his base kit! Just making the power usable more often and reducing the fatigue to 3 seconds (I think every Legion player agrees, that it should be lowered to 3 seconds)

And now addons. For now most Legion addons are pretty neat, you can use them in different playstyles. For example Killer Instinct addons can be useful while using some stealth builds. So, let's start with addons!

Addons

Fatigue addons:

Before:

  • Decreases the cooldown of Feral Frenzy by 0.2/0.4/0.6 seconds

New:

  • Increases Feral Frenzy movement speed by 0.2/0.4/0.6 m/s

I changed these addons because i lowered the base fatigue. I think we shouldn't be able to go lower than 3 seconds of fatigue. Also new version of these addons would be really helpful, so I think it's a good change :)

Stab wounds study:

Before:

  • Reduces the Deep Wound timer of all survivors by 3 seconds

New:

  • Survivors Deep Wounded by Feral Frenzy attack are affected by Oblivious Status Effect until Mended.
  • When Survivor cancels or finishes the Mending action he screams revealing his location to the killer for 5 seconds

So, I think old version of this addon is very outdated, and not useful for the current Legion. So I changed it, to an information addon. It applies Oblivious to Deep Wounded survivors, which expires after they finish mending. Also when they cancel or finish mending they scream revealing their location to the killer for a short amount of time. Of course survivors can play around it, because they know about the addon, and they can use it to give the killer some fake information. For example mending next to a generator that is not being repaired, and after finishng mending go to the other gen and repair it.

Frank's mixtape

Before:

  • Attacking a Deep Wounded survivor with Feral Frenzy reduces their Deep Wound timer by 5 seconds.

New:

  • Every Feral Frenzy attack reduces survivors Deep Wound timer by 5 seconds
  • Allows The Legion to see the survivors' Deep Wound timer

(So when you apply Deep Wound they start with 15 seconds)

I'm buffing this addon because it is very underwhelming in current state. Just making it a bit more powerful, and now it works not only when tunneling one survivor down. Also it's a really unique addon, I would like it to stay that way.

That's all guys. I'm waiting for your thoughts and opinions in the comments!

See you in the fog🌫🌫🌫

Were you present for Old Legion? Or even hear about Old Legion? Old Legion wasn't a good killer, but Old Legion could basically down any Survivor no matter what. It took them a while to do it, but they were incredibly frustrating to go against because if Legion wanted you dead, you were going to die. Full Stop.

These 3 changes you proposed together will make it so Legion can get near guaranteed downs with the Survivor basically having no chance because a 130% killer is near impossible to loop.

    • You can start Feral Frenzy, when it's charged above 25%
    • Power gauge starts to build up while in fatigue state.
    • Every Feral Frenzy attack reduces survivors Deep Wound timer by 5 seconds

With these changes, by my count you would be able to get a nearly guaranteed Deep Wound down in... ~24 seconds.

5 seconds from spotting a fresh Survivor to catching them the first time with Frenzy. Survivor deep wound at 15.

3 seconds after the initial hit, Legion still in Frenzy should be able to catch and hit the Survivor again. Deep wound to 10.

5 seconds to get 25% of the power back, then about 3 more seconds to catch back up with Frenzy again. Deep wound to 5.

Repeat the above. Deep wound to 0. Survivor down in ~24 seconds because they couldn't loop a 130% killer who can fast vault everything. Cool.

Now don't get me wrong... Legion could use some buffs. However, unless you're planning on reworking Frank's Mix Tape, you need to be very careful when buffing them. Why? Because individual Frenzy hits are basically impossible to counter. It having any sort of decent lethality is a 1 way ticket to Legion being broken again.

These are not QoL. These are buffs and some of them pretty substantial.

Never gonna happen because Legion was released too strong and survivors complained. The devs then ######### their pants and nerfed them into the ground.

I mean, you are right, but still was the old Legion broken without good addons and when they didnt abuse the deep wound chase mechanic? Now it's something like a bit of old Legion, but when you pick franks mixtape pretty much like without addons and without any cheese deep wounds mechanic, also keep in mind that you will not be able to get survivors every 5 seconds. When your power is ready, it doesnt mean that you can instantly use it to hit someone. Survivors are not staying in one place. 3 seconds of stun, and in 2 seconds you will not be able to catch up to a survivor, to use your power that will last for great 2,5 seconds. One small mistake = you need to repeat the process.

So, when you pick frank's mixtape, which you will not be able to pick every game you are:

    • like old legion with only duration addons
    • no more moonwalking, shortening survivor's deep wound timer for free
    • you will not be able to literally use your power every 5 seconds to get a hit. Survivors have a brain and they will make distance, it's impossible.
    • you are still slightly slower than old legion
    • no more spamming lunge attacks to make your distance longer in short duration of power

Maybe I'm wrong. But I wouldn't mind playing against The Legion with frank's mixtape. Since I'm a Legion main, I love to play against him as a survivor, and i think he is pretty easy to outplay. You can window tech him, bug his collision in the pallets, blind him (but need to do it safely), or just simply break line of sight and use his lack of tracking without when he doesn't have killer instinct. And also I'm not a full Killer main, I play both roles equally, so i also wouldn't want to make a killer broken :p. Still using frank's mixtape won't be the best strategy to use on him, but that's just my opinion. Still thanks for commenting.

Lemme see.... recovery during the 3 sec fatigue and can use Frenzy with 25% of the gauge, meaning after 4 secs.

Frank's depletes 5 secs for any stab.

So, 15 then double hit for 10.

Let's say you fatigue, some distance lost and then catch up in 7 seconds and then Frenzy and double stab.

5 secs left. Chase has been going on for 10-ish seconds.

7 more seconds to catch up. They pre-drop a pallet, you Frenzy, stab, done.

20 seconds and they're dead. To be clear, in 7 seconds (including the 3 sec fatigue) , you'd have 35% of the gauge meaning 3.5 sec duration. Not including recovery add-on, that'd make that roughly make that 3.9 or 4.4 secs.

    But I said 7 plus the 3 seconds. That's 10, meaning 5 solid seconds.

Each is more than enough for a quick frenzy to vault and then stab.
