Add Bots / Offline Mode
I saw in the resident evil update put the bots I was so happy but or found that it's just a tutorial I was disappointed. Why not directly put an offline mode with bots where you can use all survivors and assassins it would be very convenient to train to complete the rift challenges also for console trophies as now playing online has become impossible with all those tryhard players 😥

At first i wanted to say that you shouldnt be able to complete challenges and earn trophies. But if we are honest it doesnt hurt me if other do it, so im okay with it.

As I've said on other threads, I would love to have an offline mode with bots, but only if they allowed us to customise the living [BAD WORD] out of it. I am talking about playing with old killers, on old maps, with old perks.
I don't know how they would do it, but I would love it! Since we will be playing with bots anyway, there is no reason not to give us freedom.

I just can't see this ever happening. This game relies on human players. How are you ever going to mind-game an AI?

You know...adding in a full on play with bots mode would be a good idea, especially for rift challenges. People could go for their challenges in bot matches, if they so choose, and not screw over their team trying to get them done. Same for killer challenges and those who simply don't want to play killer (or a specific killer.)

You are approaching this the wrong way. I'd love a mode with offline bots. A friend and me vs a random picked killer who plays braindead with 2 ai survivors? Why the hell not. You could try stuff out. Custom bot matches could actually be more fun than online at times. Just playing a braindead bot game, maybe with friends too, can be a blast. And it certainly wouldn't hurt anyone if they implemented this.

the IA is ######### neither wa, they need anerf on closed maps and a buff on big maps, on closed maps they can box you but on open they just cant do their work, thats my opinion obviously, for bots to come handy there will need a lot of programation and they are probaby gonna act like a dwight that just walks and enter to a locker when hear the killers terror radius, the IA needs to be improved so it can be turned to bots.

if I were to add bots it would be to replace people who dc during the game they dc and become a bot

However, I discovered that on mobile there are bots that work well and make the challenges count and the game is even free because on PC and console the game is paid and we do not have bots 😥

The bots in the PTB have decent AI. Definitely not braindead morons who run into walls and jog in place, that kind of thing. There's huge room for potential here.
They mentioned that they were planning on doing more with bots. I would love - LOOOOOOOVE - a fully fleshed-out bot mode in which we could choose the participants, perks, and maps. I'd never put this game down. I don't care if I rank, I don't care if I make bloodpoints that can't be spent outside the mode, I don't care if achievements are off. I don't really care about any of the extraneous stuff to be honest. A fully functional bot mode would be a dream come true for me and that's all I need.

I agree completely. That is why I've suggested full customisation when it comes to this mode. Things like playing with old powers, on old maps, with old perks.
Since we will be playing with bots, why not give us freedom?

While I get the impression (and have fingers tightly crossed) for the mere ability to customize the matches based on what's currently standard assets that are used in the game, I'm with you in thinking that it would be AMAZING to play on old versions of the maps with old perks and whatnot as well. The thing is, my guess (and it is just a guess) is that outdated versions of things that are in this game are likely just flat-out deleted. I don't think that old maps or perks or anything like that is still sitting there ready to go in the game files. I just don't see it happening.
I'd love to be wrong, but I'd be surprised if I am.

Glad to see that you agree :)
And well, I doubt everything was just deleted. It would be a very unwise decision to to delete years of content just because a few changes were made.
Besides, we know for a fact that some things are still in the game, despite the changes they have received.
Example: If you hit a survivor with Endurance as Freddy, it will play the exact same effect as when Old Freddy would try to hit an awake survivor. Sadly, Freddy got reworked back in 2019, but this little effect is still there. Credit goes to @QwQw for finding that out, btw!
I think it is possible to do it.

Would be nice to have an offline mode and would increase bhvr revenue adding players that prefer a complete solo experience. Maybe eventually joining us live.

I would become an Omega Blink Nurse Main offline. Or maybe a 5 Blink Nurse Main
2 -
Well, I would be an Old Freddy main once again. Just offline.

Oh I absolutely agree, I wrote in the PTB feedback that I was incredibly grateful for bot matches and that I really hoped that they would add to it, which they did suggest in the anniversary stream that they would. I still don't know if we'd be able to get the old maps (they may not be deleted from all sources, they're likely archived at least, I just don't think that they're in the game files anymore), I just don't think that we'd be that lucky. They'd probably say that they were removed because of various complications, or they wouldn't want to use them anymore since they're trying to focus people toward the new map redesigns. But yeah, I'd still like it.
And people have been saying that they'd use the mode for practice, which is great! That's one of the many reasons why I want it too. There are killers I'd like to try but who I just feel too anxious and embarrassed about using because I suck too bad with them. I played Bubba last night and literally didn't hit anybody. Not one HIT. Granted, the team was really good, but I totally mistimed all of his chainsaw attacks. The survivors were polite about it for once, but that's just one example of how I need to learn character's timing and proper use of powers and perks, which isn't the easiest thing to do when matched against players of equal or better skill. Additionally, as was stated, a bot mode would also help hold the hand of newcomers for a little while until they feel comfortable enough to jump into the world of meta builds and sweat squads. Plus, as they said in the stream, this could be something for people to do if the queue times are too long.
This is just a great idea altogether and I cannot wait until it's more full. To be honest I even thought of redownloading the PTB just so I could play some more bot matches and explore it some more, even in its currently limited state.

Oh, using it for practice would be nice! Perhaps I would finally learn to play Huntress properly!
Still, what I truly want to see are old things. If they don't want to go for old maps, then at least go for old powers. At least let me play as my old main again.

I would just hate to see you disappointed. You're a nice guy and you clearly have a love for how the game used to be, and I myself have been in the position of waiting for what I thought were surefire things (at one point even getting the chance to tell the developers of a different series face to face how much I wished for them) only to be disappointed for technical or developer preference reasons.
So I mean, if you want to hope for the best that's cool, and I'll definitely be hoping with you, but try to prepare for the worst. When you think about it nothing about adding AI bots to the game necessarily means getting old builds or maps back, they're not mutually inclusive, so it's kind of a far hope. But, as I always say, I DO hope you get your wish. A lot of us would love it, including myself now that you've shown off those gorgeous pictures of the old maps.

im for a "free mode" like you go in as single person and can test things, training with bots and and and
2 -
Your words warm my heart, my friend, thank you <3
And do not worry, ever since that fateful day back in July of 2019 I expect the worst from this game. But, a little bit of hope is good. It is healthy :)
I am glad you enjoyed the little tastes of the past that I've provided. And who knows, maybe the devs will start listening to the community. Maybe we will see our old treasures again.
