Trickster Buff that is simple and aligns with his kit
In his current state, the Trickster is extremely weak. His power does not justify his speed being 4.4 m/s (110%) because getting a health state requires both commitment and risk. The commitment is chasing for at least 8 laceration hits and the risk being if you break off chase, then the dagger hits will simply fade away.
Additionally, his "main event" causes a big loss of control and is extremely situational, leading to it rarely helping him in the game. It was designed to be used in close proximity to a survivor (and not using a basic weapon attack).
Here is my suggestion for a simple buff that could align with him closing in on survivors and really help this slow killer:
When a survivor loses a health state due to the laceration meter being full, the On-hit Sprint's duration is halved from 2 seconds to 1 second. In addition, after 3 second, the survivor lets out a loud grunt of pain and gains the hindered status (-15% movement) for 2 seconds.
I think with this change, getting a health state from a survivor using knives wouldn't punish the trickerster so much (remember they are already far away when they get the On-hit sprint), and the risk of getting a second state quickly is almost nothing. (This contrasts with the Huntress, for which the sprint is needed as a single second hit is a secured down). Reducing the On-Hit Sprint and applying a small hindered effect would punish survivors who simply run forward but would not punish survivors who run to another loop. I think this change aligns with his get of using knives even in close range of the survivor.
I realize that it is difficult to estimate what this change would do to the Trickster's gameplay. For this reason, perhaps consider testing this on the text PTB. I think it has potential to make him a more fun and improved killer.
