Cross Play
So I play DBD on Xbox for PC because it was free with game pass. I heard you can play the new Resident Evil Chapter through Steam by signing up for beta testing. Before I bought it on steam I googled if I could transfer my account. I clicked on 1st thing that popped up and the forum said that you could. I immediately bought DBD on steam and while dling it went back to my browser and noticed I was on Sea of Thieves forums lmao. I checked the couple below that one and found out from posts in 2018 you can NOT transfer your DLC etc. I don't understand, they are both pc, I'm pretty sure steam version makes you log into windows and I know xbox pc version does, so why aren't they compatible? I bought literally every DLC and killer in the game, do you know how much that would be to do it again on steam? Like $155! I could understand not transferring console accounts to pc but if both xbox pc and steam log you into windows it should be easy to do. Posts I saw was back in 2018 so 3 years to make this happen so if it hasn't happened yet it's not going to. Sorry, went off on a tangent there, so the question to get confirmation: If I have a windows live account and xbox game pass account it won't get transferred to steam? I am asking because I will have to ask for a refund if not. I am not going to pay another $200 just to play steam version when both of my accounts are PC.

No there is no crossprogress between Steam and Windows Store, only between Steam & Stadia for right now, with Switch also confirmed for the future.
There is crossplay between all platforms excluding mobile (as your title is about crossplay not cross progression).

Ok, thank you guys for the quick responses. I hate doing it because I never ask for refunds on games but I would never play steam version because I can't pay $155 plus future dlc's and level up all my characters again cause I play every killer not just 1. Sorry but I have to refund.
