What is happening is that Killer Player probably never uses that particular Killer option. Thus, with MMR running he/she put it in. They pulled a bunch of newbies because the Killer reads as a newbie, and to that Killer they are new. However, certain basic skills are common to all Killers and a Rank-1 with any Killer will know the basics well enough no matter who they play. That is why MMR should just STAY UP and let us all quickly adjust as the system learns.

so why, when I play a new killer as a rank 15 killer, do I fight 8 games in a row of only red ranks? this mmr ######### sucks

Because MMR doesn't use RANKS. It uses a different number. :) And clearly your Rank-15 doesn't tell your whole story. :)

A friend of mine is a newbie killer, never above Yellow Ranks. She only gets Red Rank Survivors, which has frustrated her greatly. Especially since she doesn't have any killers above level like 10. Which means playing with 3 perks, little to no slowdown, being new to the game, and going against Red Rank Survivors who know the game better than her.

Exactly, I never play twins. My daily is down 4 as victor.
I am getting red ranks, who take victor hostage and destroy me. 2 games in 2/4 in my daily.

yeah it sucks, idk why it feels like everyone else is awesome with this mmr but I'm getting only red ranks for like over 15 games no matter which killer I play
