default MMR should start at a median value rather than a minimum value when MMR is undetermined

Basically if MMR doesn't have any rank data it shouldn't assume that you are at the lowest possible MMR.

Then if you do poorly, your MMR should be lowered and if you do well your MMR should increase.

    New players are punished more by having high skill killers who haven't played a killer jump into the role and absolutely destroy them. Yes there would be a game or two where new players would verse opponents who were a bit better than them, but that's way better than them versing opponents with thousands of hours.


    Though I do think that a median value of all killers could also work.
