PS4 custom game lobby join bugged

This bug is on PS4.
Underneath the Dead By Daylight 'app' there's the Now Playing section where you can see your friends' parties. I join a custom game lobby of theirs through that, and it's pretty much a blank lobby (no survivors in any of the survivor spots), the change role button is available but pressing it does nothing, and you have to close the game because the back button no longer works.
This also happens if you go your friends list in-game and join their custom game lobby.
Your friend inviting you is the only way to join the lobby without this bug happening.
