I can't say with certainity what happened but I believe the David was opening the chest and was somehow clipped into this portion of the map, unable to move until the killer downed him.

I think I've gotten stuck in that same exact spot. I wasn't able to move for so long.. healing my downed teammate was the only reason I seemed to be able to move. Here's a video showing it.
