Connection Error: Some social activities are unavailable

Since the new update, every game or so, my play partner and I get connection lost error comes up. However, when we go to recreate the lobby, we get a Server Connection Error: Some social aspects/activities whatnot are not available. We are up able to join each other's lobbies without restarting our games multiple times. This bug is seriously putting me off from playing the game until it is fixed.
