No AFK explosions when survivor is injured

Platform: PC (Steam).
Description: An injured survivor with 3 AFK crows did not produce any "explosions" when he was injured.
Steps to reproduce: The way I did it was with Deathslinger. I was testing out some other stuff and that survivor was AFK (just a "bot", essentially). The explosions did occur before I injured him, but stopped at some point afterward. I only noticed it once he was injured, so it may also have been after I used the gun on him multiple times without injuring him. I made sure to check when I was far away, but nothing changed.
How often does this occur: Unknown.
