How would you rework dead-hard?
As the title says. What would YOU change to make dead hard work reliably in the game?

New additions are in bold.
Activate-able Perk.
You can take a beating.
When Injured, tap into your adrenaline bank and dash forward quickly to avoid damage.
- Press the Active Ability button while running to dash forward.
- Avoid any damage during the Dash.
Dead Hard causes the Deep Wound Status Effect after activation, and the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds. The Exhaustion timer does not go down until fully mended.
Dead Hard cannot be used when Exhausted.
This is my take on a Dead Hard nerf. The survivor who uses it sprains their ankle and has to mend up to recharge Dead Hard.
This version punishes the survivor for activating the perk, but will still be the same as ever. It will at least give time for the killer to find another survivor once they dropped a pallet, while they mend up.

just make it so its only a dash forward, does nothing else, just gain distance. if a surv wanna dead hard into me, they getting hit, they aint getting no free slide.
also maybe not having the camera go to the moon and back would be nice.

I'd remove dead harding for distance. There's counterplay to dead hard if it's used to avoid a hit, but when using it for distance, it's basically just a third health state. In exchange, maybe provide some better incentive to good timing, like a stun if you manage to perfectly deflect a basic attack. You just turn around and punch the killer in the face.

Moving the hitbox so it's in front of the survivor not trailing one foot behind.
