Buffing Teachable Perks to Balance the Game

This is a very humble post just spitballing an idea that I had that could possibly bring some balance to the game.

The idea that I’m brainstorming is having 5 perks for both Survivor and Killer. Making 1 of the teachable perks permanent or built in for it’s unique character.

An example of what I’m talking about is Meg having Built in Sprint Burst or The Nurse having built in Nurse’s Calling.

It makes survivors a little more unique and it can be a buff for killers without being unreasonable. You pick that Bill up off the ground instead of slugging him because you know he may have Unbreakable anyway. So would 5 perks really be that big of a change gameplay wise?

More examples:

Built in Discordance on Legion, Deception on Elodie, Tinkerer on HillBilly, Deliverance on Adam, StarStruck on Trickster, Any Means Necessary on Yui, and Blood Warden on Freddy.

This isn’t to limit the teachable perks you’re able to equip on that character or teach to other survivors but to make distinctions tot eh characters and strengthen the lore and continuity of the game as a whole.

Built-in teachables is a bad idea and would create an even more unfun meta for survivors.

Everybody would choose the strongest one and then use their free perk alongside everything already used.

What “unfun meta” could this create? Killers and survivors are rated based on difficulty. Easy, Intermediate, and Hard. Making a teachable perk base kit would emplore both killers and survivors to focus more on fun perks that synergize.

There are too many specifications for perks right now for any perk combo to be overpowered that wasn’t already.

Because on the survivor side you would only meet bills and davids with a side of jake and meg because these characters could now stack even more second chance perks. Survivors right now are merely skins, so this would create survivors that are just objectively better than others

And on the killer side blight, nurse and spirit would probably have a field day with built in undying, nurse's calling and haunted grounds but for other killers this change would be borderline useless. Oh no here comes deathslinger with his built in gearhead, or nightmare with fire up, or huntress with beast of prey, etc.

What I am trying to illustrate is that some 5 perk combinations would be so overpowered that you would only encounter the characters that can run these broken combos and no one else.

what i still find kinda funny is how survivors are rated in difficulties like killers when they all do the same thing, not gonna lie.

I think survivors should have their own skills, (not talking about perks) it would give them some roles to fill. But in the other hand, having to face all that kind of stuff with the already boring meta perks would be a pain in the neck, so i don't know how this would work well honestly.

The worst problem right now is that every single game you're facing as a killer against 4 survivors with 4 second chance perks (wich make it 16 second chance perks) while as a killer you have totems that have a high probability (at least in my experience) to spawn in front of a survivor at the beginning of a match.

There are so many factors that you are specifically limiting and eliminating to get to that outcome you’re describing.
