Lag switch or hacker?

Hi. I was wondering if lag switching is still possible?
Can the host still get my IP address?
I know that there isn't a host since its dedicated servers now. How is this lag switching possible if they are not hosting the game?

lagswitching is still possible for sure, i've encountered a bunch of em recently
