Kobe stealing one hook state

PC steam version

I was on hook, my teammates were nowhere close to unhook me, killer was patroling 15m from hook, i attempted to kobe when bar progressed a little. I got it 2nd try (out of 2 possible, because of bar progression), got off the hook, BUT it have put me on deathhook. Is that intended? I don't think it is, correct me if im wrong

Played feng, prestige 3, perks: Head on, Q&Q, WGLF, Inner Strength

Killer: Oni, perks: Corrupt, IF, Bamboozle, BBQ

    I imagine its server/local game desync. Asked friends, some of them had same issue. Fix could be quite easy, if game detects kobe, it could hard set hook states at 1/3.

    Would like to point out I believe this only started happening after skill checks were added to replace the struggle mechanic
