New killer, the “Thing”

If your not aware of what the “thing” is, it was a creature that appeared in 2 films, a 1982 original, and a 2011 remake.

This creature crash landed on earth somewhere in Antarctica and was found frozen in the ice for an unknown amount of time. What the team didn’t know was that it was still alive, preserved over the years.

If you have seen this film you know what this creature is capable of, if not, I will gladly explain.

This creature was capable of devouring its prey, and then cloning its DNA in the same process. Eventually changing its body into the the body of its meal.

This killer would make an excellent add on in Dead by Daylight!!!! Imagine meeting up with your survivor teammates, only to find out that there are still 4 of you? Even though one has died. Here are some ideas as to what perks or abilities it could have.

  • The ability to morph into survivors that you have already killed through DNA cloning. This action would take approximately 4-6 seconds to change into the survivor, and 4-6 seconds to change back into its original form. Allowing unsuspecting survivors to have a chance at escaping.
  • The ability to allow survivors to test each other’s blood. Just like in the film, you didn’t know if the person was real until you tested their blood. If the test fails, the creature would automatically change into its original form.
  • The ability to track survivor footprints who are uninjured while in a cloned survivor body. Foot print tracks will be of short notice and will not last long. So if you see any, they are very recent.


Please give some feedback on this killer idea. The abilities do not need to be word for word and I expect them to be tweaked if this were to happen. Just wanted to get the idea across. Good day everyone! (:
