Overhauling Survivor Ranking System

PROLOGUE — Survivor Ranking System

With the introduction of the Emblem System over the past years, it continues to be improved. However, it's still far from perfect and doesn't truly represent how you performed in the match.


To solve this, I'm creating scoring events that purely relate to how much YOU contributed to your team!


Generators Scoring Events

GeneratorsRepairs: For every 5 charges you repair, gain 2 points and an additional 10 points for finishing repairs on a generator.

GeneratorsDistraction: While being chased or hooked for 15 seconds while within 24 meters to the killer, all points your teammates earn from the generator's / Survival's category are transferred to you at a 50% conversion rate.

GeneratorsTotems: Cleansing a totem will award 4 points, and gain an additional 8 points for deactivating a hex totem.

Note: Preventing No One Escapes Death will equally divide the 8 points amongst all survivors who participated in cleansing.


Survival Scoring Events

SurvivalHook: Whenever a hooked survivor isn't rescued in time and progresses a hook state, all survivors lose 20 points, but with the exception of when the exit gates are activated, you won't be penalized for failing to unhook in time.

SurvivalRescue: Unhooking a survivor further than 32 meters to the killer automatically awards 20 points. Unhooking a survivor within 32 meters to the killer will automatically award 20 points if that survivor doesn't enter the dying status for the next 15 seconds. If that survivor enters the dying status, lose 20 points, but with the exception of when the exit gates are activated, you won't be penalized for failing the rescue.

SurvivalHeal: Healing either yourself or another survivor will award 2 points for every 4 charges you heal, and gain an additional 8 points for completing the heal.

SurvivalDefense: Taking a hit while either you and a injured survivor are in a chase, and-or within 8 meters to the injured survivor will award 10 points. Taking a hit or sabotaging a hook near the killer while the killer is carrying a survivor, and that survivor successfully wiggles free before being hooked, awards 20 points. Points are not awarded if you enter dying status while taking a hit, unless you have more hook states than the survivor you're defending.

SurvivalPerseverance: Every full minute you stay on the hook, gain 4 points. Gain 2 points for every 8 charges you recover while in the dying status. Wiggling free awards 10 points.

SurvivalEscape: Escaping awards 30 points.


Rank Progression Requirements

Survivors can have up to a maximum of 100 points [they can earn more than 100 points in the background, but the system will just display 100 points]. All survivors will start at 0 points and have to work their way up.

Variables: Brown Ranks/ Yellow Ranks/ Green Ranks/ Purple Ranks/ Red Ranks

Survivors must reach or surpass the threshold to meet rank requirements.

  • Rank Progression: 40/60/80/90/100 Points
  • No Rank Progression: 0/40/60/75/90 Points
  • Rank Regression: Less than 0/40/60/75/90 Points

Double Rank Progression is occurs when you have a Rank Progression streak of 3 or more.
