Unable to Add Friends on Steam and Vice Versa

So anytime I try to search and add a friend who plays on pc it always shows “0 results found” My Pc friends are also experiencing this issue which doesn’t show results for my Friend ID. From what I understand this doesn’t seem to happen when searching friends on PlayStation. The only way to work around this is if someone else is able to add you and invite you to a lobby so you can add them from inside the lobby.
