Crossplay - Forced to Restart after Every Custom Match Due to Several Issues

ISSUE ONE - PLAYER STATUS NOT SYNCING ACROSS LOBBY AFTER FINISHING A CUSTOM GAME

  • Step 1 - Complete a custom game with players who are each using a unique console (PS4/Xbox One) or PC and load back into the lobby.
  • Step 2 - Notice the issue has occurred when one player sees the other players as still being in a match, despite them having loaded back into the lobby.
  • Step 3 - If the players attempt to load a new game, the player who had a bugged lobby will be disconnected and each player will be forced to restart due to being stuck on a loading screen.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Any character/map/perks etc.
  • Occurs extremely often, it is very rare for us to not encounter this issue after finishing every single custom game.
  • This is not an issue with internet connection, as we have ran many tests to check for this.
  • We believe this is a sync issue due to the crossplay, which is also the reason we believe the other issues also occur.
  • This issue can be fixed if the player who is affected leaves and creates a new lobby as the host. This is the most consistent fix. If the affected player restarts their game, there is a high chance that they will continuously be disconnected upon re-joining.


ISSUE TWO - PLAYERS FAILING TO CONNECT WHEN LOADING INTO A CUSTOM GAME

  • Step 1 - Load into a custom game as normal with each player using a unique console (PS4/Xbox One) or PC.
  • Step 2 - Notice the issue has occurred when there is a player missing from the lobby as the game is connecting to the custom match.
  • Step 3 - The player who failed to connect will be left in the lobby and will be told that someone in the lobby has still not readied up. Each player who did connect successfully to the custom game will be forced to restart due to being stuck in a loading screen.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Any character/map/perks etc.
  • Has not occurred very often, but can occur multiple times in a row when trying to load into consecutive custom games.
  • This appears to be another issue related to syncing players on crossplay and is not related to internet connection.
  • The only fix for this issue is for each player to restart their games and to hope that the next attempt is more successful.


The issues listed above have been extremely frustrating for myself and my friends, occurring many times during a single play session. The first issue in particular has become an expectation for us after loading back into our lobby from a custom match. Any information or acknowledgement would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    This is really accurate but the chances of the devs seein this is low and the chances of them doing something about it is even lower. Its a shame this game is so obnoxiously buggy because it really is fun.
