Ideas to Make Trickster Actually Fun AND Good
Not gonna lie, I'm not excited to be back after the ban, but when strange balancing decisions arise I must talk about them.
So... Trickster went from terrible to overpowered to alright and still remained boring throughout. In all of those iterations he also still had very glaring flaws. Here's some ideas to make him fun while also cutting back on those flaws.
Laceration
Let's round out the maximum Laceration at 7 hits. I think 8 was too much and 6 seems a bit too low. In addition to that, increase the maximum amount of blades Trickster can carry at base to 50. 44 would be a very strange number with 7 blades to damage and most people (if anyone) will hit every one of their shots.
By the way, Trickster still doesn't have much map pressure.
I'm still not sure why this isn't a thing yet, but just give survivors the option to remove the blades manually. Laceration decay in it's current iteration forces Trickster to go after one survivor until he gets value by damaging them. If he doesn't, he completely wasted his time, as the Laceration decay starts fairly quickly without any input from the survivors. A 1-2 second interaction to remove a singular blade (similarly to how Mending with Deep Wound works) would be an adequate trade off and will also bring about more interesting "counterplay" with a new risk-reward scenario emerging from this.
General Tweaks
Seeing as Trickster isn't an immediate threat from a greater distance (he cannot instantly damage you), unlike Huntress, the 40 meter lullaby isn't necessary in my opinion. I think 30 meters would be a good compromise. Additionally, Trickster's Terror Radius could be reduced to 20 meters, akin to Huntress. This will allow Trickster more time to get up close and personal to survivors, where he shines.
Trick Pouch and Bloody Boa seem pretty useless now because you can't even damage someone with TP and barely with BB. I say increase the additional carrying capacity back up to 7 for TP and 14 for BB.
Remove the Main Event Window and increase the required blades to activate up to 35.
I am also once again asking that Trick Blades be base kit. Base kit ricochet will give Trickster a bit more of an identity, increase his skill ceiling tremendously, and also just open up the doors to more fun and thoughtful gameplay on both sides.
ALT. Idea: Rework Main Event
An idea I always had for Main Event would incorporate his music more into it. His cinematic theme would play on activation and then all survivors within his lullaby would temporarily gain max laceration that decayed quickly over time. IDK, might be broken, but I thought it was a bit more interesting than throw knives throw knives faster. Plus, it incorporates his main two gimmicks, music and laceration.
I feel like I'm missing something with this post but I'm hungry, bye bye.

I like a lot of these ideas. I've heard the idea of pulling out knives manually like mending float around and I think it would be interesting to see how it affects his games. I've always wanted main event to be like Oni's blood fury as I think he'd get more value out of it. I'm not sure about the trick blades being base kit as I feel like sometimes it would be a matter of luck to the survivors to dodge them all. But overall these ideas do seem interesting to talk about and play around with. It doesn't change his gameplay too much to where it's an entirely new kit but gives him more map pressure like he's lacking.
