Controller Quality Of Life Improvements
In light of the recent changes made to Trickster, I'd like to raise some awareness for the plights of us controller players. Now, I'm not going to act like killers are completely unplayable on controller, as I've had success with many after a bit of practice. I would like to note that there could be some quality of life adjustments that would go a long way in smoothing out the overall controller experience.
Console players probably remember the recent Blight update, as it was a complete game-changer in the best possible way. It really felt like the devs were showing big love to the console community, and playing Blight on controller became a very fun experience -- most probably the way it was intended to be.
I think Trickster could use a similar examination. With the recoil and spread, not to mention the now limited knives, aiming his blades feels cumbersome. It wasn't quite so bad with 60 knives, as the spray-and-pray method was reasonably effective. I was actually quite excited for the buff when it was announced on PTB, and now, I can't help but feel it's more of a nerf. This could very much be remedied by examining the way he plays on controller, and considering removing the recoil and or re-adjusting the spread.
Another potential QOL improvement that would go a long way is the ability to have a separate aim sensitivy for ranged killers. A lot of console players prefer to run higher sens (anywhere from 60-100) in order to keep up with spins and mind game effectively. Unfortunately, this ends up having a negative impact on ranged killers, who benefit from the precision of lower sensitivity.
I guess what I'm getting at is that killers like Trickster feel like they could use a bit more love when it comes to controller playability. The Blight changes went a long way in improving his gameplay and taking a look at the way ranged killers handle on controller would really help bridge the gap between console and PC.
