Adding friends from other platforms. Broken, or am I doing something wrong?

I just bought a gaming pc (usually a PS gamer) and I wanted to add my account so I can introduce some friends to the game while they are over and play together. Every time I try to add my PC (or PS5) I use #**** next to our username. When I enter it, I get "showing first 10 of 10 results, least refine your search". None of which are the correct persons.


I have tried the full cloud ID with the dashes, I've tried using the username, username with the #****. No dice.


Any ideas?

    It’s currently buggy and has been reported and at least by the mods here in the forums acknowledged.


    a workaround would be to get both in a lobby of a mutual friend and then directly add eachother that way.. but that could be problematic if that friend also can’t find crossplatform friends..
