Rework "Predator" to instead leave footprints that appear permanently minute(s) later

Rework the perk "Predator" to instead leave blue footprints that work opposite to that of scratch marks. Scratch marks appear instantly and last for 10 seconds while footprints are invisible for 120/90/60 seconds before becoming visible for the remainder of the trial. Footprints are used to track survivor movement patterns, not to know where a survivor was recently. If a survivor continuously hides in the same place, it will eventually show that. Survivors leave footprints behind at all times except crouch walking.

I painted them into a screenshot to illustrate my point.

I don't think this would be particularly helpful. Knowing where a survivor was a minute ago isn't particularly valuable information, and I think at that point, you'd be better off just patrolling gens.

I do like the idea of footprints though. Perhaps predator can replace scratch marks with foot prints that better indicate the survivor's direction, as opposed to scratch marks, which simply indicate where the survivor has been.

EDIT: Also, if the footprints don't fade, eventually there'll be such a jumble of them that they become unreadable, too.

The idea I assume is to see where survivors go regurarly. They did mention that in the main post Footprints are used to track survivor movement patterns, not to know where a survivor was recently. Which would help new players a tad.

But as you said it would become a clutter of information you cannot really decipher later.

The timing is a little weird. I would say they could work if the footprints appeared 20-30 seconds after (so 10-20 seconds after scratch marks have vanished) but then disappear after 60 seconds.

If they were permanent, this perk would quickly become useless after about 2 minutes as the entire map would be littered in footprints and they would give you exactly zero information at that point.
