Cashcrop game

We have to buy 7 DLCs each $7 for a $20 game and NOW like 1/4 of the cosmetics are paid only.
We have to pay $70 for the full game and if we want cosmetics, the prices are way higher.

Without the DLCs essential perks are missing when playing killer/survivor and you are basically forced buying the DLCs in order to get the game working for you (as killer you need ruin for 100%). The playtime needed to get all DLC characters is absurd, so this is not even an argument.

All of this in a competitive horror game.
It's disgusting in my opinion.

(I bought everything, sadly)

Wait for a sale to get the licensed DLCs.
The unlicensed killers can be bought with shards too (ingame currency)

There are ways if you want to save money

I was thinking about something similar today. Well, I was thinking about this event in particular; if I average one vial every half hour, that's roughly 5 hours of work for a single cosmetic piece, which could be viewed as earning $2 per hour when you think about simply buying it instead. It really outrages me to think about things in these terms.

That frustration only gets worse when I think about the potential costs of DLCs, because the DLCs give us more content and improves the gaming experience overall. Cosmetics don't even come close to being as important.

BUT... as frustrating as it is to think of things in these terms, it's not the whole picture. These prices are only for a limited time, and with the right amount of patience, we can buy the DLC contents with iridescent shards later on, which is pretty fair.

As a side note, you might find this article promising for the future of video gaming. I know I did.
