No Heartbeat When in Terror Radius

Dead by Daylight - Steam Version on PC
Whenever in or near the terror radius of the killer, I hear everything but the heartbeat of the character that I am playing.
Every character that I have played as, David, Jake, Claudette, Ace, etc, will not allow me to hear the heartbeat, so it is even more of a challenge while playing, however, a needed asset to help my never-ending losing streak.
Unfortunately, I do not have any clips or logs of these happenings.
