Dead by Daylight should no longer be affected by an outage. Players logging into the game between September 26 3PM ET and September 28th 3PM ET will receive 1M Bloodpoints as compensation.

Screen freezes and disconnects unexpectedly when close to the hook

This issue didn't happen to me before patch 5.1.0.

Platform: PC.

A number of times the next thing happens to me,

Once a killer is hooking someone and I'm a few meters away from a hook attempting to go closer, my screen freezes and i can hear the background and my character on loop until the game disconnects me from the host.

After a few times facing this issue, i noticed the following details when this happens:

My character is injured, someone just got hooked or second person just got hooked while I'm running to save the first person.

But it always happens when my character is injured.


Friends say it looks like i DC's but in fact my screen freezes until the server kicks me out and disconnects me.

When I'm back to the lobby, i get a dc penalty.
