Ashy Slashy puppet still broken - no updates

The Ashy Slashy puppet for Ash is still broken. When holding certain items, they are held incorrectly in the puppet's mouth (see below). In-game, the items are held horizontally away from Ash's body as if defying gravity.
The topic I posted on this in early June was acknowledged, but we've had 5 patches since then with no update. These patches have included updates to cosmetics for licensed characters, with one even including a separate update for the Ashy Slashy puppet (which made Ash float after breaking free from the Killer's grasp).
Can we please have some kind of status update? Anything?
