Dead by Daylight should no longer be affected by an outage. Players logging into the game between September 26 3PM ET and September 28th 3PM ET will receive 1M Bloodpoints as compensation.

Disconnection Code 8012

Hey there,


1 : Boot the game.

2 : Play as killer or survivor in a public match.

3 : In-game, whenever.

4 : Trial ends abruptly and i get sent back to the title screen with a Code 8012.

All characters, perks and maps.

Usually happens once everytime I play for more than 3 hours.

I play on PC only but no logs collected.


I've been disconnected multiple times for the past 2/3 weeks because of "Code 8012" which is apparently connected to either the players Wifi - although mine is fine - or to Steam having an update - on tuesdays but it happened on other days too -.

It wouldn't be that annoying if I only lost my items and offerings but it also makes me lose ranks AND apply the DC penalty which makes me look bad and forces me to wait before playing again.

I have a friend who has the same problem and also read a community post on Youtube of a streamer having the same issue.

Any thoughts or advices?
