Community Thoughts on a Burning Status Effect?
Say they introduced a killer with a flamethrower, or possibly a firestarter with pyrokinetic abilities.
Would you welcome the addition of a burning status effect? Say, one that boosts your movement speed while on fire, but also makes you crazy visible and could end in a dying state?

i dont think it would be a bad idea,
personally i think it would be better if you lost the burning status effect by running for a certain period of time, meaning you cant sneak out of the killer's sight for a certain period of time.

Or eventually, it will have the status similar to Trickster.
Either got hit by flame once and has to find fountain before "deep wound" bar depleted. Or keep getting hit enough to lose a health stage?

The main problem is finding a unique and balanced way it affects gameplay. I'm all for the idea, especially being a pyromaniac myself, and I like the idea, but it could use a couple more drafts.

Well like I said youd have a larger speed boost, while also being unable to compkete actions like repairs or healing until you're put out.

Making the survivor both hugely visible and constantly dying seems like a bit much.

I still want an elemental-based killer (fire and ice being the most notable).

Burnt effect;
* Only healed via medkit (burn gel)
* Slower repair speed
Would be cool to have fire in the maps

Burning would be interesting but here are the debuffs I'd give but it gives potential for griefing.
While burning
- Being burned immediately causes the survivor to become injured
- Being burned lowers visibility and creates a trail of smoke
- While interacting with objects you set them on fire - The fire lingers over time but will eventually extinguish
- Being burned causes the survivor to scream violently making them audible from a distance
- Entering the dying state extinguishes the flame
So in a sense it's a similar temporary debuff to Plague where it can be spread but it will extinguish on its own over time. Although this effect is cooler and I mean imagine how bright some areas will be when survivors become a walking torch?

I'd like a killer that pours fuel on the ground and on interactable objects and can light it, kind of like a setup/trap type killer

goes in the face of stop drop and roll though. Running feeds any decent inferno more oxygen and I'm assuming there will be an accelerant not just Bill falling asleep smoking while wearing his sweater. Human fat candle WOOHOO but gameplay would suffer.

Status effects are already a bloated and cluttered mechanic with some stuff that barely does anything. I don't think we need more spam.
