Racoon city needs a remap, Asap

Most dont need to wonder why if you've played Racoon city in awhile but the matter of fact is, it's SEVERELY killer sided it's practically a GG EZ for them. There are too many Narrow and close corners together with zig-zags thst dont allow much spinning, looping or over all chases; and unless you have a second chance perk/ Exhaustion perk, the chase will be over pretty fast.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Resident evil but this map is NOT IT! It gives FAR too much control to the killers as well, the long, Narrow hallways basically allow a free hit on survivors with any and all killers; especially nemesis and trickster; Trickster who seems to HEAVY META right now. They can gain bloodlust far too fast and without any ways to break LOS, The games are short, sweet and devastating.

I just got out of a match with one of them, he was really Good but he downed all of us in 2 - 4 minutes flat; and we got gen 4'd. We tried our hardest but he mowed us down at every turn, too many knifes to little room to run...Let's not even talk about the Michael I had before it; Scratched Mirror mind you So thst almost gave me a HEART-ATTACK. Not to mention, he slugged Hella hard.

I think it needs to be a little wider so we can avoid them or a rework entirely so it's not a map that Killers will 99% favor; sorta like ormond

How does a map thats huge give killers too much control?

Huge or not, you'd be surprised how fast your team would fall. It's not even that big, it'd the matter that the hallways and sporadic areas make it easy for killers to control. (pause, in a match.)

It's survivor sided. Split up and do gens on opposite corners. The reason it seems killer sided is right now everyone is trying to get the achievement so they congregate in the middle to blast out the most unsafe gen in the map. If two players stay on each side you'll always be able to get saves and still pressure objective. The map also has literal infinites scattered throughout. Some vaults are in places with LoS blockers that drop chase while the killer comes around so they'll never get blocked by the entity. Most of the pallet loops are safe. And the lighting in the map is so dark in many places you can hide 1m from the killer then slink back into the maze while they frantically search for another chase. The only killer that I've played on there that does pretty well when the survivors actually play optimally is Trapper and that's playing him the scummy way and trapping the narrow corridors to hooks.

Scott Jund tested that it takes longer to get to one side to the other on RPD than it does Red Forest, even though Red Forest is bigger in terms of square footage. So I wouldn’t say it’s “not that big.”

It depends a lot on the killer you're facing. Stealth killers and Spirit love it, Demogorgon makes good use out of his portals and Pyramid of his cages, Twins can easily bodyblock whole sections of the map, Trapper and Hag can control areas easily, but it probably sucks for everyone else.

Play Oni on it then come back and say its Oni sided. I imagine its the same for Billy, Blight, Spirit, Trapper.

A lot of killers aren't even that good on RPD, because it's a bunch of corridors.

This map is almost stupdily even. There's some killers that just outright suck on it, like Huntress, and others that are absolutely amazing on it, like Jokester and Wraith. Hands down it's my second favorite Wraith map omfg

Scratch mirror is trash on that map, just run the desk loop at the main entrance, and he literally will never catch you because he cant bloodlust

Map is not so bad, people shoul play it instead of DC.

Eh, that makes sense enough along with everyone else's comments but most i've seen is downs within 2 -3 minutes. Very concerning. A lot of killers have good control over it if used correctly; but if not, tough ######### to that killer. I KNOW for a fact though a lot of killers can make it work.

The problem is that learning the layout of that map is rough, thankfully after they enabled the offerings everybody was basically spamming them on my games. It's very hard to help your teammates if you don't know how the map works and people can easily die on hook just because nobody knows how to get there.

Even though the map is confusing, it does have a lot of god pallets and some nasty loops (that double window next to the main hall is literally an infinite). I recommend trying perks like Kindred, Bond and Windows of Opportunity to help you.

While I agree with it being killer sided in a a general sense I wouldn’t say it’s a automatic win, especially when playing as Billy or Blight

Depends on the killer character tbh. It's generally a ######### map for killer's like nurse, blight. plague, huntress. Whereas trapper, wraith, twins can do well on it.

I would say I’ve loaded onto the map maybe around seven times as killer and survivor. And in my view one match was decent. Meaning no DCs, people being left to second hook stage or dead on second hook, killers not camping, fun chases as killer, etc.

It’s an absolute mess of a map, and what can they do with it? Because it’s licensed and trying to remain true to its actual game, which is not DbD. People say split it west and east wing, but that would be an even crazier situation for survivors with everything crammed on two floors. Like The Game but half the size. Such a mess...

I've yet to play one close game on RPD, it's just a stomp for one side or the other based upon which killer it is. Definitely needs to be redone for playability instead of making it canonically match up with the actual RE map.

No the real necessity is to nerf Trickster some. That map is perfect. I love that map.
