[PC/STEAM] FPS drops

When running around, completing gens, and sometimes when the killer hits me or uses their power i get FPS drops that last a few seconds, and seem to drop 10-15 fps. This happens in every game without fail.
My specs are:
Resolution: 4K
GPU: RTX 3070 Rog Strix OC
CPU: i7-9700K
16GB Ram using the xmp profile 2
NVMe SSD
Im unable to find a fix after spending hours trying different things online. ive spoke with other people on the DBD steam forums who are also experiencing the same issue and have a setup similar to mine.
