Black spots on Coldwin farm (FRACTURED COWSHED)

I was playing in KYF with my friends and Killer shack was pitch black for me as a survivor and there is also a black spot next to the barn where the hay stacks are. The killer said that for them it is not black at all and that they can see me normally. They were not running Shadowborn.
Is this intentional?
