New DLC Concept: Gone to Flame
So i was bored and I was thinking of some killer concepts that might work well in Dead by Daylight. When my mind came up with this idea I was impressed with myself. It obviously needs refurbishing and it is probably not going to come through anyways, but I will share it none the less.
The killer, who goes by the name "The Arsonist", is equipped with the ability "Mark's Molotovs". This ability allows The Arsonist to throw molotovs that work similar to The Clown's bottles. He can carry 3 at a time by default and must go to lockers to get more. The Arsonist chucks a molotov at a target and appears in 7 meter radius around where the bottle landed. It slowly spreads to a 10 meter radius in the span of 3 seconds. The flame continues to burn for 2 more seconds until it goes out. If a survivor is hit with such flame while in the healthy state, they are put on a timer until they are put into injured state. if the survivor is already injured, a timer is set for the time before they go into dying state. The default for this timer is 120 seconds. This means that they have 120 seconds to stop the burning. The survivor can stop the burning by going to water stations around the map (similar to the reverse bear trap stations), or by being healed by a teammate or selfcare. While burned you can work on generators, but the burning goes faster whilst doing so. If you get hit in healthy state while burned, your burns go away and you are in a normal injured state. If you were already burned into the injured state without being healed back up to healthy, you can not be burned again. (This is for balance purposes. I realize that this killer is pretty unbalanced as is, but like I said, you guys can comment ideas and it probably won't ever be cannon anyways.)
I do not know what such a killer would look like, but it would have to include some sort of constant burning flame.
Add-ons could be items that widen the radius of flame, increase time the flame burns, and decrease the time it takes to burn one health state out. You could also allow The Arsonist to carry more bottles, make bottles on the spot like the clown does, and decrease the amount of water stations.
The perks go as follows:
Hex: Booby Trap
This perk will spawn in a fake hex. If this totem is broken the survivor in which broke it will be lowered by one health state. It will also give the survivor a tracking device which reveals their location for the rest of the game. This tracker will reveal the survivors location every 3/2/1 minute(s).
Broken Windows
This one would require a-lot of work from the devs. The killer is given the option to, instead of vaulting, walking straight through the wall, breaking it and making it a new pathway. The killer can do this a total of 1/2/4 times.
I do not have a third perk idea.
This killer will obviously help solve the "looping taking to much time" problem. Only being able to loop for a specific amount of time without being injured at some point would pose impossible against such a killer.
The new survivor is Hailey Johnson. Once again, the bio is open to suggestion. She does, however, come with three perks.
Panicked Observations
While in the killer's terror radius, you can see the aura of hooks, generators, totems, and lockers within a 12/16/20 meter radius for 3/4/6 seconds with a 120/80/60 second cooldown.
Totem Expertice
Totems can be cleansed 20%/30%/50% faster than usual.
Parkour
Windows now allow you to vault 4/5/6 times without the entity blocking it
The new map is called "Sacramento". It is a square map with 4 streets that make it look like a "Tic-Tac-Toe" board from above. In the middle block is a gas station that can contain the basement. The killer shack can spawn on one of the four corner blocks. The northern and western blocks have houses and the southern is a junkyard. The blocks are about the size of the auto haven gas station, but the gas station in Sacramento is of different design.
Thats all I have now. I was just curious on what the community thought of this idea, specifically the killer Idea, but also the rest of the DLC. Constructive criticism is preferred, but if that isn't in your vocabulary, don't hold back on criticizing the ideas.
