Flashlights NEEDS a buff
Just got done watching youtube videos on how to use the flashlight. Have been able to use it occasionally able to use it correctly. I started a game with a few new friends and equipped a flashlight to help them. I used the best purple flashlight with rare perks. I cant believe how easy it is for a killer to just look away and look back and avoid flashlight blinds! OH MY LYANTA! If you are going to require a huge skill of 1. hitting a moving target in the face 2. you are moving at the same time 3. have to hit them right in the eye then why are they only blinded for maybe a second and a half?!?!
Personally, I think you should always blind for 1.5 secs if the flashlight even flashes them at all OR if you require this timing then blind them for 5 seconds so its a guaranteed escape. The skill to benefit ratio makes no sense at all for using a flashlight. I know I am raging right now but can anyone explain this to me? Why is it so hard for such a small benefit???
I will recognize that if I am able to use it at the right time during a pickup animation it will always feel "broken" but this seems like a simple fix with immunity during the animation or something. In all honesty, does anyone think the flashlights are perfectly balanced as is?

Just no, instaflashlights existed and it was incredibly broken.

The one thing I'll agree with on flashlights is that they should adjust it so that when the killer is picking up a survivor, you should be able to get the flashlight blind/stun during the pickup animation and not have to wait to land it until the person is all the way picked up. With the faster pick up animation on killers, that is only fair.

They fixed it and the killers cried so they reverted teh changes.

So you want easy flashlight saves because you're not good enough for regular ones. Just spell it out.

No, I want easier flashlight saves rather than almost impossible. Otherwise, the flashlight is just another useless item like BNP.

lol almost impossible. I tried it out you can be behind the killer and if he turns around you can still flashlight save easily, the only time this doesn't work is when he chases you away in which case you either stay close and risk getting downed or you don't save him because he outplayed you. Working as intended.
When will you people get that escaping the killer's grasp is supposed to be a rare occurance and something hard to achieve because the killer needs 12(!) god damn hooks to win the game.

When the pick up animation was ridiculously long this made sense. But the pick up animation is so fast now that if the killer gets blinded while picking someone up then it really is their fault.

Flashlights had been terribly OP for ages and now they got put into their place.
The game is still very survivorsided, so no need to complain.2 -

Nah. You just need 4.
As for the OP: @sampsomonium god no. Flashlight saves and generally blinding must be difficult. If you can just use it to freeblind the killer, even in a chase, then it's a HUGE unfair advantage.
Some flashlight buff would only be acceptable if they'd also make killers able to turn during pickup animation.0 -
How about a new type of flashlight, with an overall buff in how fast it blinds, but a debuff for it when the killer is carrying someone?

I referred to camping
Btw for me pipping is pretty much winning. You say most killers don't think that way? I'm not sure.0 -
