scourge hook perk rework ideas
with the new killer coming out in less than a week (hopefully) he introduced a new perk concept called scourge hooks
the idea is simple enough and plays of the old holiday hook event mechanic where a set amount of hooks are changed into special hooks and when a survivor is hooked on them there effect activates.
well there are a lot of killer perks that don't get used much and could be reworked into a scourge hook perk to give them a more interesting effect
so I have come up with a bunch of rework ideas to give some less used perks some love and I encourage you to put your own ideas in the comments maybe the devs will like some of them.
here is an obvious perk that is basically a scourge hook already however its effect promotes camping so I want to give it an effect that rewards pressuring other survivors
Scourge hook: monstrous shrine
Your fervent care of the Hooks found in the Basement has aroused The Entity's interest.
at the start of a trial, the basement hooks become scourge hooks: the aura of scourge hooks are revealed to you in white.
while a survivor is hooked on the scourge hook all generators regress automatically.
when a survivor is unhooked from the scourge hook all survivors who were not in the basement have there auras revealed to you for 4/5/6 seconds.
here is a pretty useless perk when compared to others, I decided to take this perk on a different direction inspired by its name.
Scourge hook: territorial imperative
all that is within your territory belongs to you, including them.
at the start of a trial, the 4 hooks closest to generators become scourge hooks: the aura of scourge hooks are revealed to you in white.
when a survivor is hooked on a scourge hook all generators within 16 meters are blocked by the entity.
when the survivors is unhooked from the scourge hook the affected generators remain blocked for 20/25/30 seconds.
here is a perk with a interesting concept but poor execution
scourge hook: cruel limits
Your ties to the otherworldly manifest when your prey attempts to get away.
at the start of a trial, the 4 hooks furthest away from each other become scourge hooks: the aura of scourge hooks are revealed to you in white
when a survivor is hooked on a scourge hook all vault locations within 32 meters are blocked by the entity.
when the survivor is unhooked all vault locations will be blocked for the rescuer for 30/35/40 seconds
these are all I have right now but I would be interested to hear your ideas :)

I like all of them great job. Good selection of perks, those are very bad.

I really like this suggestion, I think we could extend it to even more perks. I'd rather scourge hooks than totems as the survivors won't know right away which hooks are changed and sabotaging was nerfed to not be permanent so it seems like a solid all around mechanic.
