Exit Gates- Leaving the game
I play survivor a lot more than I do killer but regardless of what I play, survivors sitting in the exit gate with no way to down or pick them up is frustrating as killer but also feeds into arrogance as a survivor.
Would it be possible to create a window that survivors must vault in order to leave the game? This way, killers would be able to grab a survivor as they're leaving so they don't have that uncomfortable stare down, like in the old days with hatch plays.
However, This wall would be a little special... It allows survivors to vault over but also allows survivors in dying state to crawl out. However, perks like Blood Warden would still work by Blocking the vaulting window and crawlspace to prevent the survivors from escaping. It would look similar to the entity blocking any window.
Stare downs in the exit gate are toxic as the killer has no more power in controlling the outcome, and in asymmetric games like DbD, its more fun when the killer has potential throughout all aspects of the game. NOBODY is safe until they leave the match. Unless they have a reverse bear trap or snuggling with Victor, a survivor controls the outcome in exit gates. Yes a killer can hold their hand and push them out but in higher tier games, the killer has essentially run out of options at that point.
Of course this window would be the only window type that the killer would not be able to vault or potentially be affected by window blocking perks like bamboozle or crowd control. Having that sense that you arent completely free until you escape should be a tension survivors have to deal with. It will add a subtle layer to exit gate showdowns

Survivors not leaving when they're all there and healed up to rub salt in wounds and do butt dances is just something we get to deal with. Personally, I don't bother going to open gates, they will dance with no one to watch.
They're like little yippy dogs barking behind a fence just to run as soon as someone steps in the yard. I just leave them be, I know what they're about and won't bother with it. When I know a survivor found hatch and is just sitting on it, insisting the killer watch them leave, I completely ignore them. They'll leave eventually, either of their own volition or the Entity takes them.
