Huge Problems for Survivor

I've noticed in the several matches I tried this morning that survivors have no incentive to win because the chances are too low. Ruin, Tinkerer, NOED, BBQ, and so many oppressive perks and all you got is games that feed on altruism and then die. Killers downing too easily and winning with virtually no effort at all. Killers such as Leatherface are way too easy to use. A 1-shot that has no skill requirements is not good. Wraith with uncounterable lunges. This is extremely bad for the game.

Something should be done about that.  Survivors need some buffs or killers need nerfs. More pallets, larger maps, more dense fog?  Killers balanced for a coordinated genrush leaves out a huge demographic in the game: the solo survivors and the casual swf.

Larger maps? Pray tell, what size are you thinking of?

I kind of actually want more pallets, but less super safe pallets. I have been getting into that enduring, brutal strength life recently and wish I could Miley Cyrus more wood.

Seeing as how you didn't answer me last time,

Genuine question, Sluzzo my Nurse main. Why do you care? It's just a video-game. Nobody really takes you seriously, and I really doubt your 50th post complaining will be the one seen by the devs. You're just making another incredibly generic "wah killers" post that won't change anything. So I'll ask again- Why do you care? Do you think you'll actually accomplish anything, or are you just doing it for attention? I am genuinely curious.

There is literally no point in caring this much about the balance of something that probably will last another collective 2-4 years.

Larger maps? ######### no. The biggest problem with RPD is it’s size.

Putting aside some other points (Sluzzy being a multi-thousand hour player at red ranks for both killer and survivor, etc.), this is posted the day before SBMM is implemented.

I mean, the whole point of SBMM is to make matches more balanced so survivors and killers alike feel that they have a decent chance when they enter a match. If you want to play more chill and less sweaty, just play like that and SBMM will give you less difficult matches over time.

I agree, survivors making huge mistakes and giving quick downs does increase the difficulty. It's a good thing most of those perks have counters.

Ah yes, the usual killer too strong and easy, survivor too hard and weak.

The classic with a pinch of denial.

It’s boring for many survivors to just do gens and escape. It’s way more fun to attempt a cool basement save against a camping Bubba or some other risky action. I wish survivors were always playing safe and efficient on gens, that would show how strong they are and how much killers need buffs.

Sluzzy, what are your thoughts on the Nurse? Is she too OP and oppressive? Does she need a nerf? Does her high skill floor justify her power?

We're officially at that point where BBQ is broken and definitely has no workarounds.

What is your opinion on the MMR, Sluzzy? Tomorrow you dont need to play against strong killer anymore.

The hard part about balancing is that SWF and Solo teams exist.

Maybe. Nurse is interesting because you don't see her very often. You'll see 20 Blights before you see a single Nurse. She is oppressive with the killer meta, only a 4 man SWF can keep her in check.

But why play Nurse when Wraith is practically uncounterable and at it takes no time to learn him. I don't like being hit from a mile away. At least Nurse had to actually "predict".

Sluzzy is an omega-level Nurse main who treats this game like Overwatch. Seriously, last time I saw their steam stats they were at a few thousand blink hits.

No, there's been some video evidence of them playing survivor and (my comment might get deleted for saying this) ragequitting on their first down or hook.

Poor survivor mains, must be hard camping pallets and running every game, spine chill counter tinkerer, ruin and undying can be permanently deleted. Maybe if survivors can stop boosting as a swf they will actually be in matches their skill level

Why is everyone so mean to Sluzzy? Evertime I come across one of their posts, they just get taunted.

Shhh. These are the killer forums we don't post stuff like this here. The only thing people wanna see here is posts complaining about how OP survivors are or posts with screenshots showing people being salty after someone played like an #########.

I have the same feeling too. It was fun when I first started and killers are not that good so it was pretty balance. The minute you touches average rank then all these thoughts started to come into my mind. HOW TF is this fun when you get one shot down or literally slim chances of escape? Their speed is faster but not enough, Devs decides to give them more speed. #########??? Literally every killer & survivor have the same perks. What is the point? HOW IS A ONE-SHOT DEATH GAME FUN when I need to spend 5 to 10mins in a game? and I go down in 5secs

RPD isnt actually that big tho.

Its biggest issue is that Red is the shortest path between 2 points, when Blue or Black should be optional routes

and here where at least 1 blue route needs to be added

Other than those 2 parts, the map is actually quite fine.

Survivor doesn't need fixing play both sides and you learn a lot more for survivor and see it's not always easy games when playing killer.

Totems again if you can't find totems there's perks to help you map out where they will spawn Small game, Counterforce, detective's Hunch, and there's the maps too. So if you don't want NOED or any other hex totem run one of those perks or item and than perks like Tinker are a little bit more weaker.

Blight also is not that easy to run if you know what you're doing. You gotta hug those corners against him kinda like Oni or do some zig zags to confuse Blight works a lot of the time even with Ruin, Undying, Tinker ain't that bad sure he can get there very fast but, if the team is on multiple gens he's not gonna be able to pressure all of them that easily.

Wraith I think you should play a bunch and see it's not so easy all the time I had friends who said Wraith needs a nerf after he got buffed they played him and realized he doesn't actually need a nerf because it's still not easy sometime

The devs haven't favored any side on this game it looks like it's killer but that's because every killer is unique with a different power and what do survivors have? Nothing. They all play the exact same the perks just change them hence why they mainly change the perks and not the survivors.

You want to finish gens you have perks Resilience, Prove Thyself, Leader, etc and toolboxes to help you

Find the totems? Perks and maps so you don't have to deal with NOED, Ruin, Undying, any of those perks will be gone from Counterforce, Small game, or Detectives Hunch and than Tinker won't be as big of a problem.

I forgot to thank you for responding, so thanks.

Anyways, Pinhead just released today and I would love to hear your thoughts on him, even if it may be a little too early. Is his chase too oppressive? Is chain hunt overpowered? Does he need a nerf (and if so, how would you nerf him), or is he fine as he is?
