How Events Could Be Made Better

**Preface: ** So again we have a fun event, and again it feels like there are some horrid issues with this, possibly even moreso than the previous BBQ and Lunar events. Here's what I think would ideally help to solve a lot of the problems plaguing this event that've popped up not even a full week into it:

1._ Don't_ do 50/50 split between rewards to where you have to play 50% Killer and 50% Survivor. This does not make sense for an asymmetrical game where the player ratio is 1:4. Instead, make it purely optional for which side you want to complete the objectives on. If folks want to play nothing but Survivor to get 60 phials for example, let them do so.

2. Don't make the event objectives completely useless once you fulfill the quota. Because I leveled a Survivor through this event, I now have 27 Petals that are completely useless to me. That's 81,000 Bloodpoints that have absolutely zero value to me and it gets worse as more Survivors complete their 30 phials. What's worse is that I cannot level another Survivor right now without feeling like I'm wasting Bloodpoints on what could otherwise be addons/tools/offerings; even if they're Common quality, at least I get something out of them. Instead, make it so that you can continue to complete these event objectives to use up the offerings and still let folks reap the benefits of more Bloodpoints. Y'know, like how you did with the Lunar and BBQ events.

3. At the very least give us a Bloodpoint refund at the end of an event for any unused event offerings. This shouldn't be too much to ask. As I said, I'm 81,000 Bloodpoints in the hole now because I didn't know the offerings would become useless to me after I maxed my phials, and I now have to play 27 more matches where I hope that enough of my teammates are still able to collect nectar for those bonus 4k bloodpoints to produce returns for my BP investment. Also locking away event offerings when we have 0 clue if they'll come back in a year is really irritating, especially because if that event rolls around again it de-incentivizes leveling characters if we have too many offerings from the previous year to burn.

4. Do give extra objectives for Survivors to do, and reward them extra for surviving the match. While yes it has produced memes and complaints about folks who only farm nectar, if folks had more of a reason to survive the match then they would do so instead of just giving up after they get their nectar. Also, combining this with #2 will encourage folks to still do these side objectives even after they complete the quota, so the game still has an increased length compared to normal. For an extra incentive, let's say that Survivors get double or at least an extra 50% bonus to the event bloodpoint gains for surviving a match.

5. Do find ways to reward Survivors to where they can reach Killer levels of bloodpoint gains during events. Why? Because then we can get a potentially better Killer:Survivor ratio during events which means Killers can actually find matches in a reasonable timeframe. It's quite ridiculous that folks have to wait 5-10 minutes just for one match, and it's actually so bad to where Survivor queues are having problems because there aren't enough Survivors to fill lobbies right now. Events always lead to higher Killer queue times because Bloodpoint gains are blatantly better for Killers by a significant margin. Giving folks more of a reason to stay queuing as a Survivor would make all the difference, especially paired with previous points listed here.

Conclusion: At the end of the day Events are supposed to offer fun ways to gain Bloodpoints and spice up the monotony a bit. The biggest issue is that it leads to atrocious Killer queue times because too many folks want to play Killer for multiple reasons (including the rewards for playing a large number of Killer matches), and that doesn't help Survivor queues in return as not enough Survivors are around to fill lobbies right away. Other issues include the fact that event offerings become wasted bloodpoints if you can't do the event objectives after fulfilling your quota, and they become completely useless after the event is over. So giving deeper incentives for Survivors and removing restrictions/quota limits + offering refunds for unused event offerings would go a long way in making events feel more enjoyable by everyone.
