Autodidact rework idea
Hey all, i wanna share my opinion and new idea on Autodidact.
i played around 100 games with Autodidact and never really get a use of it.
the idea of that perk is actually very good and if you can get it to work it could be the best perk in the game when it comes to Alturism. but it has some issues..
the first issue is the RNG system in DBD means you can either get very lucky and get a lot skillchecks or the opposite.
the second problem is the Negative progression bonus at the first 2 skillchecks, means the killer could be nearby and just because of the skillchecks you will sandbag your teammate what can end up with frustration for the healed survivor.
Autodidact give currently at 5 stacks a bonus of 50% progression bonus if im not mistaken. i would personaly nerf this from 50% to 25% or 30%
to buff it now a little bit i would increase first the chance of getting a skillcheck, now unfortunately we dont know what Slightly, Moderately, Consinderably or Tremendously means in numbers, but i personally would put a 25% chance of triggering a skillcheck OR you will get atleast 2 skillchecks per 100% Progress bar.
now the last thing i would change is the Negative progression with the first 2 stacks from -25 to -15
and bonus per stack to +10 at the end with 5 stacks we would have 35% (the numbers can always be changed this is just the idea)
that way we would get with 5 stacks less bonus progression but at the same time the perk could actually work with the increased chance of skillchecks and way less negative progression to avoid the sandbag to the teammates.
this is my little idea for autodidact, nerfing it but at the same time buffing it.

Well it's an RNG perk, it's not suppose to work everytime. I found it easier to make it work with Spine Chill (increase chance to get skill check) and Empathy (more heal = more chance to get tokens)
