Just feel like dumping on the RE chapter again.
Every time I load up this game or even hear anything about it Dead by Daylight I just can't stop thinking about how you ruined the RE chapter so hard. Every single thing in it was probably purposefully messed up EXCEPT Leon. Every model except for Leon does not even look like them, every voice except Nemesis and Leon is bad, the weird bubbles on the map make it ugly to look at and if those weren't there it would be a perfect map, and the characters feel NOTHING like the characters. There was 0 love or care for this chapter and I just want it to be at LEAST decenf. Its just an awful chapter though. I have been waiting 4 or 5 years for this chapter and the devs just to some gasoline and a match and just set it all on fire on purpose. I'm not using this to ######### on other licensed chapter. I'm glad every other licensed chapter is good. But WHY was it Resident Evil, your BIGGEST CHAPTER that you guys decided to slack off and not give even half of a ######### about. Nemesis acts more like Lisa Trevor than Nemesis. Lisa ######### Trevor! How do you ######### that up so hard? In terms of power he is such an easy character to get right! You have to be trying to make people hate your RE chapter and it seems like you were certainly trying super damn hard. Please just fix it. I just want my RE chapter, specifically I want to finally be able to play as the motherfucking NEMESIS IN DEAD BY DAYLIGHT. I don't want to play Resident Evil in DBD because NO ONE wanted that. If I wanted to play RE I'll just play RE and so will every one else. If any RE fan wants to play as Nemesis they'll play REsistance or hell, even RE Verse makes you feel like you're playing Nemesis way more than the bozo in DBD. FIX HIM. It would mean a lot to everyone.

Yes it was. Tell me something that was bigger and brought in more people.

It most certainly would not have been a good map without the bubbles. It's far too big and far too maze like to be good for a lot of killers, especially m1 killers.
As survivor It's too hard to find gens and takes ages to run to a hooked survivor.

Yes it would. I'm not talking about it in terms of balance. I'm talking about it as a huge fan of the RE games.

I love my dump in paragraphs.

Its been months now man. Give it up. You've posted about this a hundred times.
12 -
Well if they kept it like the games without breaking up walls to gain easier entry then I would like it in a resident evil game type of way. I may even be able to know exactly where I'm going if it was kept the same lol.

Don't know why it bothers you. Giving up is the worst thing I can do. I have nothing to lose if I keep going. If there is even a 1% they'll listen I'm going to keep going because I hate having that awful feeling every time I think about it when I hear anything about this game.

Probably Halloween? It is one of the most iconic horror movies, potentially THE most iconic. For Dead By Daylight, it was the first license, and those are always huge even if there are bigger fish to fry. Everyone remembers Snake over Sonic in Super Smash Brothers not because Snake is bigger, but because he set a precedent.
I think Resident Evil has such a huge edge in terms of bringing players in because of the timing and the fact that people playing DBD are into gaming. Not to mention the double dipping of survivors which is the majority of the playerbase with huge costumes that are arguably bigger than the choices they made. Depends on who you ask, I guess.

Its not that hard to navigate. People just need to learn it. I do very well on both sides since I remembered the spawns and doorways. Gens spawn in similar areas that are easy to remember which helps as survivor. Same with pallets.

I get being passionate about it but the map is a mess, so wanting it more like how it was in the actual game because you're a fan is just dumb reasoning for that imo.
Halloween and even Stranger Things were far bigger chapters than the RE chapter imo.
I'm not a fan of the franchise so maybe this is why I come across more harsh when I speak about it.

It was the Halloween chapter that made me want to get the game. I think, for movie fans anyway, this was bigger than resident evil.
3 -
Yeah like Mikey is a horror icon and this is supposed to be a horror game so for sure the Halloween chapter has brought more people to the game than the RE chapter.
I agree with you completely.

He's fighting for a righteous cause, don't you know. He NEEDS to make a thread about the same exact topic weekly.
How else will BHVR ever listen and add Nemesis's iconic ability to... run.

I don't want it to be more like the game in terms of balancing. I'm talking about looks. That's all I said about the map.

It was a rather dull chapter I was bored after like 2 days

Resident Evil is the biggest horror game franchise ever made. It did a lot for gaming. They are still the king of their own genre that they CREATED. And then games like RE4 influenced so many games with its over-the-shoulder action gameplay. Its done more for gaming than Halloween has probably done for movies. I still love Halloween don't get me wrong. Its my favorite horror movie but RE just did more for gaming and DBD is a video game.

Yes I do.

That's my problem. After Silent Hill I was still so happy to play it for a week or more. I was so excited everyday to hop back in. With RE which is my favorite game franchise after the first couple days I and probably most people were just saying "Ok what's next?" Or something like that.

I just don't agree with you is all.

At least you were honest this time.

If it makes you feel any better, I am STILL hyped about the Resident Evil chapter, Nemesis is still one of my favorite killers, too. I feel bad that you wanted to move on after a couple of days, but bro, we can play as Nemesis!
I get how you feel. I truly do, my favorite horror icons are from Wes Craven. Freddy is the remake version with no personality, Springwood is my least favorite map. Ghostface is a weird OC dressed like he is cosplaying Ezio from Assassin's Creed with no Sydney Prescott. Like, what the actual hell?
But I am still glad I get to actually play them. Imagine if you were a Leprechaun from the Hood fan. RIP.

Heh.
I may or may not have had the same idea for a meme as you.
All different discussions btw, and that isn't even all of them. Just as many as I could fit.

I didn't know I was lying the other times.

You didn't disguise your intentions.
You just came out and said you felt like dumping on it for no reason and I appreciate the honesty.

The thing is I have a problem with them making Nemesis just RE and not actually play like himself. There is no real reason to play him over Nemesis in REsistance. In REsistance I get the dream of actually feeling like my favorite unstoppable BOW AND I can still have zombies around helping whereas in DBD you only get that 2nd part and nowhere to be found is feeling like I am playing the unstoppable BOW that I love. I would be fine even if he sucked but at least played like Nemesis. They could make him the worst killer but at least he'd play like Nemesis. He just doesn't. I can't be happy with that. Other killers like Freddy have been remade so I'm hoping someday, I dont care when, just some day Nemesis can get his REwork.

I don't see why I should have to do that every time.

Is it too much to ask for Claire to get a model touch up? Her face doesn't look like the RE2 remake and she has like size 20 shoes...
1 -
100%. She is gross to look at. At LEAST Jill isn't ugly or Chris.
1 -
Were you the guy who's been complaining about Nemesis not being Nemesis for months?
7 -
I'd argue stranger things was the biggest chapter due to the timing of it. But the numbers would probably be marginal. I don't even feel like ranting about Nemesis and his mechanics and balance....but to say it was disappointing would be an understatement...I somewhat agree.
5 -
His punch is absolutely fantastic. That grunt and thud... ffs... I don't care about anything else. It is the MOST satisfying weapon hit in the game right now.
Have played maybe 2 hours total of all RE games though, so I have no clue ######### he is supposed to be like other than that lovely movie.
1 -
Yes. Why?

Wild.

The Nemesis shown in DBD is pretty accurate to his depiction in the Resident Evil 3 remake. He's usually armed with only his fists and a tentacle like in DBD, and doesn't start using weapons until later on (and only briefly uses a flamethrower and then a rocket launcher).
Audio and visual design wise, he's phenomanally accurate to his depiction in that game, and as close as he could get gameplay wise while still being a unique addition to the DBD roster (OP's 'improvements' would just turn Nemesis into a weird Oni/Legion hybrid, which would be lame).

TL:DR.

Myers chapter
Because some can argue that without it, the game would be dead long long ago
3 -
Maybe Halloween, the first license that started it all? Maybe ST, one of the most popular, IF not the most popular series of one of the biggest movie production and sharing companies in the world? Maybe even NoES?
3 -
Stranger things was by far the best chapter in terms of people joining the game.
3 -
He could still be a unique killer with his iconic abilities. He's not accurate to him in 3 Remake whatsoever. With animations and sounds sure but also his most iconic abilities are just relegated to animations and not what they should have been which is the power. There was a cool idea I saw where he sprints in short bursts which would fit him perfectly and guess what, is unique and a good type of unique like Oni or something where they are similar but definitely earn their spot. They aren't just a 2nd Hillbilly or whatever. They definitely have different strengths and stuff and the same could have been with Nemesis while staying true to the character. Tell what the hell do zombies have to do with Nemesis? Nothing at all and are a waste. And they aren't even that fun. At least not as fun as something YOU can control. But they do not fit Nemesis. That's more of a Mr. X or Birkin fitting thing. Or maybe they could've added the Nemesis Alpha parasites and maybe it would make sense but as it is now he is absolutely nothing like Nemesis to anyone who has played RE3 and the Remake and just anything with Nemesis in it. Somehow he is more like Nemesis in Marvel VS Capcom. A fighting game! The ONLY Nemesis thing in his power is just simply even having the tentacle which he doesn't even use in the right way so you can immediately take credit away with the whole mutation mechanic which is another example of them deciding to make the game feel like RE and not making him feel like Nemesis. That's all there is. There is no Nemesis. There is just the feeling of RE.

Halloween with quite possibly one of the most famous horror icons?
2 -
Honestly, I do completely agree that Nemesis doesn't FEEL like Nemesis. He needs to have some sort of speed, and maybe even some sort of way to have weaponry.
As for the Zombies and the NE-a Parasite, that could be tied to an addon, increasing their range by like 6 meters but making their attack slower (like 2 seconds or so).
The speed could be a Special you get (akin to Trickster's Main Event) where he roars and just goes ham speed-wise, and for every 2 gens done (so at 3 gens and 1 gen left) an Umbrella Crate drops for Nemesis, that has his RPG that one-shots within a 2-3 meter range. Damages for one state within a 4-6 meter range.

I'm fairly certain the halloween chapter, Stranger things chapter, and maybe the silent hill chapter brought in more.
2 -
Yeah I totally think Nemesis with an RPG and running could work. You just need to implement it in the right way which I am certain they could do.

Didn't RE make DBD reach its all-time high on steam?
1 -
Have you ever considered using the feedback section? Where the part of the team that look for feedback actually go?
0 -
Nope.
0 -
Well I'd say go for it since you want the devs to look at these, as the general discussions community seems to be rather... Frustrated with these posts at the moment. Surely one of these could have been made in feedback.

I don't think the RE chapter is bad by any means it's just kinda feels like the characters aren't fully there if that makes sense. Like Jill looks slightly off, Leon looks slightly off, Chris is a bit confusing cause his promotional stuff has him being RE 1 chris for the trailer but in game he looks kinda like a mix of RE 1 and RE6 chris while his banner art doesn't look like him, and we don't talk about claire. The one complaint I have about the map is that weird orange infection things. Other then that I only played the map 2 times since the RE release so I have no idea how bad the map is gameplay wise, though I do hear it's bad due to it's size and confusing layout. As for Nemesis I do think that he was a disappointing cause he doesn't feel like an unstoppable relentless force. I do think he is missing some stuff such as a run ability which is one of the things he does a lot in RE3 remake. I do wish he had his rocket launcher cause most of the Nemesis art I've seen before RE3 remake came out was he always had a rocket launcher, a tentacle, or a flamethrower. My hope is that in the upcoming mid chapter they will make him more like the Nemesis we know and love.

on steam i think so but you have to keep in mind that consoles exist.

I'd argue this wasnt even top three biggest licenses. Surely a surprise, but not big.
Halloween was the largest, followed by Starnger things most likely. Not to mention the sheer importance Silent Hill had, since that IP was dormant for years.
