Grade reset☺ are you playing dbd more or less with sbmm?
Title...
For me personally I am either thinking of rushing both sbmm to the limit and play something else afterwards or only playing my daily survivor and killer and playing something else...high killer wait lobbies and stressing every game is not the "casual" game I paid for.

I play my usual 3 games a day.
I am getting the feeling i'll never see iri 1 again.
Not unless i only play one role and either start playing more or getting double pips in all my games.
I am curious how many people can monthly reach iri 1 on both roles. Seems like a insane amount of time to do that

I play the same amount - 5 days a week - 2 as survivor, 2 as killer and 1 day of mixed gameplay.

I can't tell if sbmm is working for me or not. I've played all day sat and sun. Haven't played in awhile but I'm actually enjoying playing as Pinhead. Some matches I was doing great. Others I felt like there was nothing I could do. Very few matches felt genuine. I got some friends that stopped playing the game because they say all they face now are sweat lords.
2 -
I'm playing slightly more.

Yeah I am almost done with the rift and playing lobby simulator is not fun🤣.
How is the sbmm on cod? Might switch over 🙂
1 -
Getting to iridescent with the new system is not worth the hassle with the pitiful rewards at the end🤣
0 -
How many hours?🙂
0 -
You adapted which is good😎...I wonder how many people adapted and kept playing (sticking to killer or switching to survivor) or just ledr🤔

I definitely play less, but not because of SBMM. It has just been 4 years, and many friends have left. So I play solo and killer mostly, but like all things, after four years, my time in game has decreased. I love the game, but just have other things to do that are keeping my interest more.
2 -
I play/stream 6-7 hours each day. I do 5 streams of DBD and then play something different once a week - and take off one day (Sundays generally) from streaming/playing.

technically more but that's only because I was barely playing at all last chapter
0 -
Definitely less

More, but only by coincidence. I'm grinding out the rift lol

My play has gone up overall. Now that I have a better reason to play (rank up for rewards despite the low amount) just gives me more incentive to play and play hard for once. I know the rewards aren't great but it gives me something to work towards and play for real. Feels bad for survivors I meet when i get off work. Feels worse if the survivors kick my ass.

The same, would be more, but one of best friends needs to get a Steam Deck so he can play with us.

I would say a more, split between dbd and tales of arise for now though. Maybe I would be playing a lot more if not for that.
I used to play for an hour or 2 here and there but I must be putting in 6-8 hours per day since the day following sbmm going live. I will burn out at some point though.
I have insomnia too, which has been playing up lately so doing 20-30 hours awake each time. This is why my playtime is still quite high even though I am splitting between two games.

Think I will play cod then😎...helps with the grind that dbd has become (both BP and sbmm).
1 -
Wow just dont burn out please🙂

I've been playing more since I want to track my matches for a bit to see where MMR actually kicks in. Been seeing my matches fluctuate wildly so I want to know if that's just how it's going to be or if it's going to settle eventually.
Also I want that Legion knife in the paid track and I don't buy rifts until I finish them, so...

More or less the same, except I have fun in more games than I used to, now SBMM is in place.
0 -
I played a few hours for these
That's it
2 -
Much less. My killer queues are ridiculously long, so I'm forced to play survivor, but I keep getting matched with killers well below my skill level (no offense), resulting in such boring games. I love this game, but I think this is the beginning of the end of DBD for me.
3 -
Similar as before. I was getting bored before the SBMM getting red ranked while I am a filthy casual, but the SBMM has made me stick around.
0 -
if i dont get soon better survivors or a better killer i will definetely quit survivor, its not fun playing everygame against a killer who just started the game and that after 50+ escapes.
1 -
Nah I'm playing less the game at the current moment is rather dull
1 -
I only really care about cosmetics, so I'm in a mode where I play to get through the Rift and that's pretty much it. If I were able to earn Iri shards more easily, I'd play more, SBMM or none.
0 -
Less, but not due to SBMM. I haven't had time to try it out very much myself outside of one night this week, due to just not having the time. (And the one night I had this week was about as weird and wild as ever, so...)
0 -
As soon as the rift is done I'm done with it
0 -
Can't say because i always play alot on new content release, but so far if SBMM continue being the way it is, i won't play more or less as i don't see much meaningful differences.
0 -
I will be playing the same amount... Which isn't all that much in the first place but that's not due to SBMM
0 -
Less
1 -
Way less, getting these games where every side is stacking as much BS as humanly possible just kills my mood to play to be honest.
P.S: Dear Blight players, yes there are actually more addons than Alchemist Ring
3 -
You need to pace yourself...burnout is real. Luckily the only burnout I feel is when I try to finish games that are leaving gamepass in the time limit🤣.
The dbd sbmm system does help with that in making the choice easier in what deserves my time(lobby simulator vs playing a game🤔)

I think it's because more killers switched to survivors or are getting crazy wait times and new killers are filling in the gap😯

Congrats 🙂

I do like the new ranking system as a Solo player. For survive with friends I do not like it. But I would say that the ranking system is significantly much better. So I will give the devs props for a job well done on it. Over-all I'd say it is purdy good.
I use to play this game about 8-12 hours per day until hatch Closing was implemented and I was a fan to buy content prior to that patch. I was hoping for DBD Merch and hoping for some sort of Red Locker furniture to be on a Fan store.
Idk, Since then I don't feel very inspired by the game like I use to be. :-(

I basically stopped playing at this point. I used to play everyday for a few hours at least, and now I feel like it'll be one of those games where I pick it up once every few months just to see where the game is at. The rewards for hitting rank 1 are pretty pitiful and the matchmaking for me is atrocious, so it's not as fun anymore.
2 -
Less by a mile. If I play any killer besides Nurse (as she's the only top tier killer I still readily play) it's just not that fun. I do not believe BHVR one bit when they said mmr is unique to each killer you have. I played twins for the first time ever last night, went against some of the best survivors I've actually ever seen, some of whom I've played against with my actual main killers before.
If I'm going against the same survivors that I do with my Nurse, with her bazillion hours and my insane win streaks with her, as I do with my Twins, who wasn't even maxed in the bloodweb running a horrible build, there's a problem with your mmr system.

Way more. It's so much more fun now. I can play how I want, with whatever perks, and my MMR adjusts. Been having a great experience and much less stressful.
0 -
I'm playing less, my killer queues are horrible, 10+ per match? Screw that, survivor I get camped every match because skill.
1 -
Since sbmm I've been playing less. Probably gonna start playing twice or 3 times a week.
0 -
Definitely playing more than I usually do because of the MMR. Games are way more balanced and I am more comfortable playing different killers.
1 -
I am the same honestly. I love DBD! Just play more when we have more content haha.
0 -
I am playing less, but it has nothing to do with mmr. I just fell down a rabbit hole jumping from movie to movie. I barely watch movies nowadays, but after Malignant, I have been obsessive. No time to play past my daily missions.
0 -
10 minutes? You are lucky some people have said close to half and hour to an hour if it isnt the evening hours and even in the evening it is getting bad
0 -
So any movies to reccomend 😁 helps to watch something while I wait for the killer lobby to fill up
0 -
Yeah I played trickster yesterday only played him a handful of matches to get his adept and was getting stomped match after match...nice to see playing more than 5 matches with trickster makes me a master 🙄
0 -
Yeah 10+ minutes, I only have free time during the night hours so I usually play after 12 a.m cst that might be the reason why my queues are faster than some.
0 -
tbh I steadily declined to not be playing much over the past year. I would go on, get rank 1 surv/killer, finish challenges, finish rift, 1mil bp and then leave the game till either rank reset, next rift update came (challenges page/tome or new rift), or a new chapter. Only really playing if my friends ask me to play.
I have all the achievements, and characters p3 with all the perks at tier 3.
Since the update with SBMM I was already at grade 1 with killer/survivor and my games were extremely casual because I couldn't degrade. Now the first reset happened, I am casually going back up the grade 1 and I look forward to being even more slack when I get to grade 1 because I know I can't degrade while grading, and when I reach one.
