Step 1 : Killer kicks gen with Overcharge

Step 2 : Touch affected generator

Step 3 : Let go around the same time as auditory cue

Step 4 : Skill check is active while running away, allowing you to gain distance even if you were to miss

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Meg
  • Perks: We'll Make It, Botany Knowledge, Iron Will, We're Gonna Live Forever
  • Coldwind farm(I think)
  • Repeatable

DOCUMENTS TO ADD

I'm unable to add the clip I took, but you are able to attempt the skill check while running from the generator. The image is a screenshot I took from said clip. I hit it, so I don't know what happens if you miss, but I imagine the generator still explodes while you've already gotten 20m away, or to a nearby pallet like I soon did. This was the first time it happened. There was a second time just before I posted this against a Deathslinger where I was already on the other side of a window while hitting the skill check.

This bug has been in the game as long as Overcharge has. I figure it's because treating it like a normal skillcheck would allow survivors to tap the gen, cause the skillcheck to "spawn" but not appear, which happens with normal skillchecks if you let go right as they spawn, and bypass the perk completely.

Thanks. Should I bother taking this down then?
