There are 25 killers... and only 3 of them are truly viable. What fantastic balance

I've played solo for over 4 years and all killers are STILL a threat to me and will kill me if I don't play well or keep out of trouble.
Blight, Oni, Hag can all beat good survivors and are completely 'viable'
0 -
Ofc it doesn't and ofc it's only for fun but it proves he was viable to play with them and handle them

And yet u again missing the point. He had those 50-100 win streaks when it was Elo-hell and he could face an 1 hour baby while playing killer or u need exact dates here? Cause something happened before MMr (and most of his winsteaks were years ago) is insignificant now. With players close to his skill he sweats very much and now he is not going for any winstreak or so.

well Blight is a top 3 killer so yes, and Oni, and Hag are A tier killers so they are solid. those 2 are not viable at max MMR though.

Preferably do it all at once but if it means a more balanced game in the long run it’s worth it

Sorry what? 😂
Y'all will literally find any excuse possible to keep with that victim mentality because it's easier to complain than practice
0 -
How does it prove that? Was every Trapper match against 4 skilled players? No weak links? No rainbow ranks?
That's not even counting other factors like maps, perks etc.
1 -
U are using old data to prove something u have no clue about. Keep going, or better go find Otz and ask him explain u basics.

Even if only half was swf and other half was solo he still stommped 25 swf teams with let me phrase this "most weakest killer in whole game "
0 -
You make a good point tbf. Sbmm has opened up this viability topic now
0 -
Alright buddy u keep complaining and I'll keep practicing
Keep blaming devs for everything because every mistake u do every lack of skill u posses is their fault or survivors fault it can't be possible to be your fault

But you don't know if he beat 25 swf teams. For all we know he beat 50 below average solo teams. You have no basis to make such claims. It's all conjecture.
That's why you can't take win streaks seriously.
1 -
Yeah most killers are not the best.... it has to do with 2 big things. Killers ability to move gen to gen quickly and possibly passive gen pressure (pin heads hooks and nemesis zombies). Most killers struggle because of this. But most survivor mains will just say "you're not playing the killer correctly" I guess they know more about the killer than some who main them.
0 -
And you don't know if he beat 50 average solo teams... Or swf teams so the points stands he won 50 games in row (around 500-600 hour) until he lost with a weakest "unplayable" killer in game
0 -
Good news everyone, they've heard your complaints and it's only two Killers now!
1 -
I know that 50 win streaks don't mean anything because they provide no viable data about the players you beat. That's a fact.
0 -
Nor does saying he's unplayable yet we're here everyone is screaming that most of killers are not playable without providing any proofs why except for the fact they lack of skills or have not enough practice in the game with certain killer

3 ? You include Spirit in those 3 killers right ? Wait WHAT ?!
Say bye to the Spirit, she goes Tier B now, maybe C 😂

The problem is people look at this from the perspective of those 3 killers and compare all the rest to them against really good survivors. It is sad, but here's the thing you have to remember.. This is a problem caused by overall game design, not by killer design. "How do we make all killers more viable, then maybe adjust the best ones based on these changes?"
Spirit ends chases the fastest of all killers. Nurse can as well, but even if she can't she can snowball on just one mistake, at any point in the match. Blight is strong in chase but more importantly he's strong against the current Shift W meta that's plagued this game. Other killers you'll find are similar in A tier, like Huntress, Hag, Oni. They are objectively weaker but have the tools to be an S tier killer. They, however, are easier for survivors to win against as a whole, especially when a lot of killers require something killers get less and less of every patch... time.

Face four skilled survivors with the Trapper 50 times in a row and do you honestly believe it will be a 4k each time?
1 -
You will hit peak for your skill with that killer yes. If you improve then you could hit a higher MMR. Most people do well with some killers in particular, but if you are a good player then your strengths will cover up faults on some killers.
Im trying to not say git gud, but if you are limited by your skill sets then you will get stuck at your MMR ranks.

- Maps must be reworked to be balanced (size, layout, pallets and windows).
- Create perks family and make it Impossible to equip two perks of the same family on one survivor. Exemples :
- Survival perks : self care, Unbreakable, Dead Hard, We'll make it, Kindred, Iron Will, BT etc...
- Speed/chase perks : Adrenaline, SB, Lithe, Kindred, DS, Spine Chill etc...
Those are just exemples, the perks' families could be Tier S, Tier A etc...

Getting 4k most of times isn't balance and never was and never will be that doesn't make him unplayable if survivor is being more skilled than I am I'll lose and try to check out what I could do better instead going on forum making rant thread about how I lost and that I lost because I played with trapper no I lost because they had more skills than me and because maybe I did something wrong which I will gladly fix and be better with in future

People need to stop acting like every single match is a comp one. Play who you want and who you like, every killer is still viable and good, EXCEPT for those 5% of matches where it is a 4 man swf comp team, in which you will probably lose anyways even playing a strong killer.

If BHVR wants to make more killers viable then they need to stop balancing around new ranks and stop listening to bias survivor mains who scream "Killer is OP, PLZ NERF!". If people are losing to a particular killer, 98% of the time that killer isn't broken. You just suck. They need to put their foot down and tell people to git gud.
0 -
Now only 2 are viable. RIP spirit.

knowing how behaviour tend to work, i wouldn't be surprised if they nerf the 3 top-meta killers because in their mind: "if you make all the killers non viable, it means that the killer roster is balanced", and then, leave everything as it is.

Yeah they probably would do that but here’s hoping they don’t

they did put their foot down. They nerfed spirit mate. one down, 2 more to go. so now we're at 2/25.

'THERE ARE 25 KILLERS... AND ONLY 2 OF THEM ARE TRULY VIABLE. WHAT FANTASTIC BALANCE'
Fixed the title.

I agree with you. I mean he´s got around 10x the average hours of the survivors he faced. Imo the point is that Otzdarva is just much better/experienced than the average player and can make even the trash Killers work against opponents that are far less skilled than him.
I think there´s a video where he plays against Hens&Friends on Saloon (good trapper map) and he gets like 3 hooks, which is a good result still considering he was playing trapper lmao

I don't think it's in this games nature to ever be truly balanced. It's an asymmetrical game with a lot of RNG mechanics tacked on to it. It's never going to get to a point where it's an "e-sports ready" game and while we can get close to have many characters be viable; the reality is that at high rank play there will always only be a few things that are strong.

Wanna change meta a bit? Destroy dead hard and fix tunnel and camp and there u go a meta change.I would gladly give those if we erase 1 perk.

Relax. My sarcasm was directed at the people who seem to labor under the delusion that if a streamer says something, it's got to be true and should be enacted right away.

We'll see what devs do in modo chapter. I'm for the idea of reward all skill based killer, like nurse and blight are now of course (and that includes also aim based killers). Also time limit based killers needs all a very strong power (oni example is perfect, he has to collect orbs to use his powerful ability, with no downside like fatigues, because he needs time to obtain orbs by hit survs). However I feel also easier killers, like stategic preparations killers and peek a boo ones needs to be at least viable in top matches, and rewarded for good use of their power. Also survs need to be a little bit addressed because bad big map design gave them big power role, but buff solos by giving it a ping system.
