Last second item switch is TOXIC. Remove it.
Change my Mind. Not Heathy for the game. No counter, only get bully. Keys uncounterable, flashlight party.

I wouldn't say toxic, but I do think there should be a period of time in the countdown where Survivors are locked in before the Killer (maybe 15 seconds before timer runs out).
If you put it in a Reverse Bear Trap, and it gives the Exhausted Status effect, it's toxic. :P

I think, once the timer hits 15 seconds, before the match starts. The "load-out" is blocked for the survivors, giving the killer a bit of time to edit their own

And killer as survivors still can dodge this 'toxic' lobby from the loading screen. If the last second item switch is so toxic for you (too many flashlights that you can't deal with it I guess...), you can easily counter it in this way. It isn't considered as a DC & no penalty are applied to you for that.
So why are you complaining for that ? You know it isn't a valid complain ! And you perfectly know BHVR will never do anything about that anyways...

Right? Let me just show my flashlight, key, whatever to the killer for a solid minute, so they can equip whatever perk and/or add-on they want to counter it.

It's a risk for the survs too indeed. But it isn't the end of the world. Franklin's Desmise or Lightborn (1 or 2 Killer's slots to counter flashlights, keys or whatever) ? Or the killer can use a Mori as offering. Anyways, nice trial incoming...

There's always one thing u can do - face camp. Just tunnel down one of the friends and destroy his game. If they think it's fun and smart then show them how actually fun it is.

Take It how Your want, doesnt change the fact that Is unfair because uncounterable, and give survs another unfun thing to do vs killer.

I complain cause it i see it i need to close by force my game and re open it and to another 5/10 min Serch for a game. And if I am not fast Enough (few seconds) I need to play an unfair match against teabaggin survivor with items I cant counter with my build, cause they are toxic exploiters.

It looks toxic but there's nothing else the team can do in some scenarios.
If a team decides to not do any gens and not try to escape, just for some fun with flashlights then they will need to do this. Otherwise the killer brings Franklin's or Lightborn and the are forced to not try and have fun, but instead work on gens.

Fun goes both sides. How can it be "fun" to bully a killer with flashlights and/or head-on? It is the same for basement camping. How can it be "fun" if I make the match for at least one other person miserable?

Since they changed it from "your item vanishes after X seconds" to it's current version it has become more annoying than ever. Even more annoying than it was years ago.
I just bring a brown medkit without add-ons. And if the killer has Franklin's I don't even bother picking it up, because I can't heal myself anymore. This is more annoying than the 5/10% of charge that was removed every time you got hit in the ancient version. I would rather have my item vanish after the timer ends than this bs.

My god.. survivors really can't do anything in this game without getting crap.
So you want all 4 survivors to just try and escape? Which means you want them to all run the meta, all do solo gens and get a 4 man escape? Ok.
Personally I'd rather 4 flashlight users who try and mess around since it's something different and means they aren't trying to sweat to win.
As a said above survivors really can't win with people.
The problem with your example is that you guaranteed to get 0 kills with your basement strategy vs a good team by camping basement. The only time you get 2 kills is if your a good basement camping killer.
Thing is if your facing a 4 man swf you really want to win, they will escape probably 9/10. Exactly as I said above.

I don't understand what the argument is here, as a survivor main, I hate it when my teammates do this.
I guess the ones who are defending the last minute character switches are the people who do it.
You wouldn't be switching you character last second if you didn't think is was a crappy thing to do.
I've literally seen 2/3 man SWF teams all switch last second to bring flashlights. You should be locked into your character as soon as you enter the lobby I feel.

I think you should be locked and the killer given a window, but sometimes I'm spending BP during a wait for a lobby and switch - I think there should be a grace period of at least 15 seconds, one for the survivor who enters the lobby, and one for the killer wherein they're allowed to switch stuff up after the survivors are locked in.

It was just an example. I know that you can't get more than 2k with basement plays if the team is at least not dumb. But that was the first thing that came to my mind when thinking about what some killers think is "fun". Same goes for 4 man slugging at 5 gens left etc.

Killers have the spend bloodpoints before they join a lobby, I'm pretty sure survivors can do the same thing, it's not hard.
But you are also right, you could just lock survivors in earlier and give killers a chance to adjust.
Items aren't toxic, bring what you want, but accept if a lobby has a map, a key and 2 flashlights, the killer should be able to bring Frankie's to counter that or choose to dodge a lobby...cause it makes the 4v1 far harder for the killer.
I'm sure many will disagree....but the items get reworked, this should be the way.

I would be fine with a character + equipment lock, if I can level who I want (not role restricted of course!) during lobby and queue.

Do you think chests should also be removed then? Lord knows all the killer mains will be screaming about gens going too fast if there aren't chests to search anymore (and don't forget searching chest challenges in the tomes).
You aren't being bullied by pixels on a screen. If you're so concerned about items that someone might bring in or loot, bring Franklin's. Stop asking the devs to make the game easier and easier for you when there's already something in the game you can do about it, and you choose not to.

Items Have perk to counter that. If you last second swap you are exploiting, taking a better position in game with no risk of items counter gived you by perks. It Is unfair, undefendable.

True. Even if you don't bring an item, don't tbag etc they tunnel you because (insert any reason here).
One time I was tunneled "because you abused DS in a locker" and my teammate was tunneled "because he was camping a pallet".
It is ez to say "u abused DS in a locker" when I was hooked in Haddonfield's basement (without the God window) and you (as nurse) came right back and bodyblocked the exit. What should I think then lol? Of cause I go to the locker on the back of the house after I managed to squeeze through....

Ok but killer has the same right to bring the counter if he see items in lobby, of survivor to bring item. I can understand to not be fun for example lightborn vs 3 flashlight, but the perk exist to prevent the killer to have bad times against some items that can make him struggle. With last second swap you are exploiting, cause killer cant counter, so the perk in fact is like it doesnt exist more. Also use lightborn is fair, because I need to remove a good perk, like a pop for example, to counter that situation. Instead survivor sacrifice nothing on build by exploiting.

Franklin is only a defence against 4 items and chest items. You sacrifice a perk slot to make the match a little more fair.

The reason is the same of gen rush. It is called win (I play both role, and I do both it Is need, not my fault for bad game design by devs).

Man I dont know, I dont think so however. Survivor have the opportunity to bring more map offering, and send statistically probably the killer where they want... Aldo items without counter to me became a problem when are 3 or 4 same items.

And what about all those "nice" archive challenges where you need to heal yourself or sabo hooks or escape with an ultra rare item? Thanks for making these stupid challenges even more annoying than they already are.
Killer challenges are always part of their objective. Survivors' aren't.

Yes I know man, I think like You that having fun is the way with gaming. But for me a good game is fair. The problem with the game is that is so punitive, and can be really fast for both side. So, you HAVE to be optimal, and use every mean necessay to take the lead, to not get genrush or snow ballo to end match. So any tactic to make the game a bit easier, like amore early kill/ pair of gens done, can make the rest of your game longer and more chill/ l'essere stress full.

I know man, even if some killer challenge are weird, some surv one are worst (I'm tryng to do all). Some time you lose cause of that, but I think is a necessari evil to have games a bit different. Also, you are not obligated to do all (before exp tome change I was tryharding them to level 70 without money, now it is esier to finish tome, so....).

When I'm playing Wraith and all survivors switch to flashlights with 1 second to spare, I just assume they're hacking. How else would they know to all bring the thing that completely invalidates my power and ensures I definitely can't win?
There's a button you're allowed to press when your opponent is cheating and you want to leave the game.

I made a thread about being able to have a few saved perk builds to scroll through, so you fast could switch build. But got no reply on it. For example survivors slap on a key with 15 seconds left, then I only have to press that button for "change build" where I have a Franklins build ready to go.

It's not fun for a 4 man slug at 5 gens but if you want to win that's one very good way to do it.
I get that last minute swapping is annoying and especially with keys it's horrible (they badly need nerfed). The reason I don't mind it happening with flashlights is because if a killer brings Lightborn or Franklin's the survivors will just rush the gens to get into the next game. This one game will just be a horrible experience for both the survivors and killer.
I wouldn't call it an exploit. Same thing I said to the person above applies here. If killer sees 4 flashlights the killer will brig Lightborn or Franklin's, which will make the survivors rush the gens because they want to get into a different game.
The intent isn't to be toxic most of the time is my main point. I get sometimes it is, but usually it isn't.

I would rather they leave it as is but allow the killer to swap like before.. sometimes you see names like “MorimeMyers” or “TakeMyFingerBigSexyClown” but you’re stuck with like Wraith or whatever..
