Exemple of bad global design
Here is a perfect exemple of a bad overall design in DbD.
Take the Cenobite and equip him with :
- Ruin : Hag's perk
- Undying : Blight's perk
- Hoarder : Twins' perk
- Franklin : Bubba's perk
So then what happens ? 80% of the time, when a survivor pick up the cube, you will have a notification, you chase this survivor, give a hit, take the box and enjoy the infinite loop where survivors won't do a single generator :).
When equipping perks from other killers/survivors make the game totally unplayable for one side.
I could have given the combo DS/DH/BT/Unbreakable, it's exactly the same.

This assumes the survivor attempts to solve the box within such a short distance that you can reach and hit them before they finish. Otherwise, the box is solved or consumed by a teleport, isn't it?

That's not unbeatable because it's two hex perks.

I don't understand that sounds like a terrible build, and that isn't how you play against Cenobite. Pick up and solve the puzzle box before a chain hunt happens. He is a slow m1 killer, he's not going to make it to you in time while you solve the puzzle box.

Ye, you must not teleport. But Hoarder gives info around 64 meters... pretty much the whole maps (around 12000 square). Just check the movements of the survivors and you will notice where they are going, the one going for the box. Once you used the box, the game is pretty much over as everything go south, the chains are everywhere, one guy has to go for the box, others can't do anything till it's not solved, maybe one is hooked and the other one has to go for the save, just look again for the one looking again for the box. etc...
It's an infinite loop.
Use this build and you will get a DC every trial 😂
To catch the survivor before the box is solved, use items that increase the time to solve it.

Yes before the chain hunts happen but if the cenobite takes the box, he will start a chain hunts.
That's the point of the build, have a notification for the survivor taking the box, go for him, hit him, take the box. Trial is over.

Then it's the survivors fault, why would you open the box so close to the Cenobite? The amount of amateur survivors in this game is baffling

That's not how the build works and it's been explained clearly. The killer gets a notification when the survivor picks up the box within 64m because of Hoarder and that's before trying to solve it. The range makes the notification essentially map wide barring fringe cases and the survivors cannot prevent it.
Your last comment kinda bites you back in the backside.

AS explained by the previous comment, when a survivor pick up the box that is on the ground, the killer has a notification and see an aura. The n the killer just has to go to the location, start to chase the survivor, give one hit to take the box and start the chain hunts. :)

hoarder doesn't guarantee you can disrupt opening the box, particularly if they have a wall nearby
and really nobody should be going for box early if they even remotely suspect the pinhead has hoarder or franklin's
best case scenario is immediately start chain hunt due to someone going for the box early for zero reason (starts a chain hunt on themselves when otherwise there would be no chain hunt) + nicking the box off of them, but it won't stay out of play forever and a few actual chain hunts per game won't make or break it unless the pinhead is insanely on point

For the wall problem, use your chain and it cancels the box opening, giving you room to catch up.
Use add-ons that tremendously increase the time to resolve the box.
Fact is, the survivors have to take the box early, they can't wait for the last seconds to take it or they risk to be out of time and chain hunts starts.

Some exemples 😂

But this build is only working against average/good enough soloQ/duoQ.
Once you play against a SWF or high skilled survivors it doesn't work anymore, as with most killers though... this game is pretty much unplayable at high level for killers.
Why ? Because there are other major flaws concerning this killer's powers.
- When you chain a survivor, in many maps with many objects/walls, the chains will break almost instantly, the power is then totally useless.
- Chain hunts can be stopped for 3 survivors if the 4th is taking the box that appears on the ground during the event. That's a terrible idea. Chain hunts, once triggered should last 1 minute and that's all, the cube should not appear on the map till the next "prepare for chain hunts event".
Those 2 points make the killer really really weak at a high level of skill as most survivors will loop around corners to break chains easily and when chain hunts is triggered, one survivor, the one you are not chasing of course, will always go for the box.
In that case, the killer is just the worst in the roster, without any power you can capitalize on. He is then just a M1 killer.
