Will Boon Totem effects be as strong as Hex Totems'?

One thing I noticed about Boon Totems is that when the Killer disables them, it doesn't destroy the Totem. In theory, unlike Hex totems, this means Survivors can get their perk back whereas Killers have their perk deleted for the remainder of the Trial. Knowing this, will Boon Totems be as strong for Survivors as Hex Totems are for Killers? Pretty concerned about this.
