Does anyone know if linking Behaviour Account to Steam is safe yet?
Hey everyone, this is my first forum post so forgive me if it's not in the right section. About a year ago, last November, I had linked my Behaviour account to my Steam expecting that I would be getting DbD on Switch sometime when cross-progression was introduced as they said it would be soon. (lol)
However, this completely removed my ability to cross-play with others (my friends on PS4) so after about 2 to 3 weeks I had decided to unlink my account as I had found out that is how to undo this strange glitch. In doing so, I lost all of my progress on my Steam version since the link, meaning rift progress, characters I bought, bloodpoints, rank, the whole thing.
I had emailed Behaviour about this, and they said that it was an issue they were aware of and working on, but had very limited information from the developers so the response they were supposed to give was to just wait for an official fix and that they couldn't do anything to restore my progress.
So I wonder for the future, has anyone linked their Behaviour account to their Steam and been able to cross-play with multiple different consoles? Preferably not just one example, but if you have one please let me know. If I relink, I would like to not lose my progress all over again. Thanks!

Cross Play with Steam account should not be a problem. I have linked my account since the beginning of these accounts. Also linked the Steam and a new Stadia account of a friend and he didn’t have any problems either.
the progress loss after unlinking is intentional though. I guess it’s to prevent creating duplicate accounts etc.

So have you been able to play with others on PS4, Xbox, Switch, etc?
