Tunneling Possible Solution
Worse than camping for me is tunneling. When I play as killer I always force myself to not camp or tunel someone because as a survivor I understand how lame that behavior feels and completely prevents the game from being enjoyable. And I am sure this is how a lot of other players feel so here's an idea to address this one.
Borrowed Time has the perfect status effect to prevent a killer from tunneling someone who has just been unhooked. So, why not make that part of the base game? With a few tweaks to the base game and the perk itself we could end up with a very positive experience.
Base game changes:
- When a survivor is unhooked (by themselves or by someone else) they gain the Endurance status effect for 5 seconds;
- If the gates are powered the effect is not applied to the survivor.
Borrowed Time changes:
- Extends the Endurance timer after unhooking a survivor by 1/2/3 seconds:
- The effect is applied even when the gates have been powered.
This reduces the need for people to pick Borrowed Time and allows for more diverse builds. Unless you're really looking to extend that timer or planning on doing some end-game shenanigans you'll probably be fine without it.
What do you guys think?
