Why are you nerfing wraith?
That's it. Why are you nerfing his basekit. Why can't you just nerf his addons that were problematic and not touch his basekit? Such ridiculous balancing.

People complained. Wraith was perfectly fine before and it made no sense what they did to Wraith. All he needed was an add on pass which was what they did but they didn’t fix what was problematic about his add ons especially all seeing blood.

What nerf did they do with wraith? Patch notes aren't explained in full detail so it's straight up lazy when this is what you read.

They nerfed his speed boost after uncloaking from 1.25 secs to 1 second.

Seriously? How hard is;
He's cloaked, so pallet camp without room for him to put himself between me and the pallet. He's uncloaking and will come around the corner a bit faster so I drop the pallet faster.
Also He's cloaked so i'll stand infront of this window till he's nearly uncloaked and then vault.
Wraith even after the buff was always a non-issue.

Sounds like a buff to me or is that the other way around lol.
So wait that's it? I'm guessing the uncloak add ons are there still and increased movement speed while cloaked?

you had increased speed for 1.25s now its 1s. You can't make some hits on ptb that are possible without add-ons now

Oh I misread and thought uncloaking went from 1.25 to 1. But yeah that's pretty bad lol.

Seriously, it's unbelievable how people have difficulty playing against him (All-Seeing Blood aside). His chase is average, his lunge is only good in certain tiles during chases, and the only other thing he has going for him is the ability to counter W meta. Some tiles, such as shack, require him to play like a basic M1 killer which is quite easy to loop if you know what you're doing.
With this nerf, his already barely average chase power is going to get nerfed, encouraging more people to play him with the boring hit & run strategy.

Because the people they're balancing for are below casual. They think that Legion's OP, for goodness sake. Wraith's lunge is half his strength, and he can't even get around full loops with it, can't compete against high level teams, so now it's gonna be even worse? We're living in a dream.

Probably for the same reason they are nerfing Deathslinger and Ghostface. I have no idea what the reason is, but it is the same backwards logic.

How are they nerfing Ghost Face? Recovery time is faster and they changed the recovery add-ons based on how fast his recovery is now. That doesn't sound a nerf to me. It sounds like a buff.

Ghostface with both recharge addons is 1 second longer than live. Nothing changed to make using other addons ideal so that's still his best combo and what majority of Ghostface run.

all seeing blood maybe deserved a nerf, i didnt use it i use Swift hunt and windstorm only, his nerf saddens my heart, very balanced killer i love to play him i hope doesnt get to bad.

It is just one second longer for recovery when you run double recovery add ons. Technically they buffed his base recovery by 6 seconds for me, as an add-on-less killer.

It's because with his buffs, Wraith became a noob stomper and whenever that happens, the average bad survivors start complaining left and right until BHVR caters to them.
It's same thing that happened to Billy and Freddy; very overrated killers that were able to demolish the average bad survivor whereas the good players could easily deal with them.

Because survivor dictate who get nerf. Survivor hate wraith being a good option for killer that why they ask for the nerf.
Dont worry trapper and plague are next on their nerf list if their little upgrade upset the survivor

the wraith nerf is gonna discourage chasing and encourage more hit and run, so get excited for that as survivor.
seriously, if you thought wraith had a good chase, idk what to tell you. by this point, with SO many out there, you should have more than enough experience to know how to deal with a wraith cloaking and uncloaking in chase.

I did not get the complains either. Wraith has pretty easy counters and even a gimmicky one with the Flashlight. Sure his hit and run can get annoying but at least it is something different from the usual. Wraith was fine in my opinion and I never had a problem while facing him.

I never understand this. The character isn't fun so he should get nerfed. Shouldn't he be made to be fun to against rather then just making him weaker? That logic is the same for freddy and that clearly turned out well.

The uncloak speed boost is stupidly fast. And looks stupid too.

Because Wraith is ######### atm. simply no fun.
To counterplay him you must stand on the pallets to save yourself. There is completely no looping when Wraith main uses uncloacking speed boost. Some run perks that Wraith is insabely fast.

Wraith was over-performing I believe they stated.
People on this forum need to get their heads out of their "high MMR"-asses. Not everyone plays at high MMR and the game to be balanced around the majority of the player base.
I think the nerf is coming because Wraith is so easy to pipck up and do good with even without understanding the game at all. Also it was impossible to play against him in lower ranks.
This is just my guess though.
I also believe that he only needed some add-ons nerfed, especially All seeing blood.

Because Survivors are very very bad at Dead By Daylight and if they don't have total control over the match at all times always, they scream and cry on forums until a B tier Killer gets nerfed to D tier.
Pinhead or Blight are next btw.

Currently if you stack green + yellow recovery, you get a 16 s cooldown total. in the ptb, you get 17 s cooldown total.

Because his skill floor became too high. Freddy was nerfed for the same reason. Although I will agree this is not how I would've changed him.

Here's the thing...I understand there is a low-tier to DBD (Meaning people who aren't very good) but there are also a lot of people who are very good. If your in that bottom tier most issues come from lack of knowledge of what you should be doing. Sure would be nice if there was a better BOT simulator so not so good players can practice more instead of calling middle pack killers OP so they get nerfed.
Wraith - Without Re-appearance he take an eternity to uncloak which is why he has the uncloaking speed boost in the first place. Survivors with half a brain would difficult to deal with now...meaning they understood just to run like hell, or find a pallet/window while he is un-cloaking. We need killers to be stronger not weaker is what I hear all the time....Wraith was not very strong with the last buff...so how is a nerf going to fix this. Yes it's only .25 seconds but against decent survivors the 1.25 was not enough.
For the love of god learn the ######### game people. not aimed at you aimed at ALL.

I got killer by 2 wraiths last night and I am sitting here defending him. I understand my team (including myself) did not play well (he also tunneled me) but that's not a wraith issue it's a player issue. I just can't wrap my head around it and this is coming from someone who uses the entire roster....There should be ######### other than wraith to talk about all I'm saying.
