Buffing Sacrificial Ward

Sacrificial wards were a great add to the game, having the ability to deny map offerings is great. But as of right now, because they're green rarity, they have a few problems:

  1. there's pretty minimal reason to use one because it's the same cost as a map offering, and the only effect is that it makes the map choice random again. While it does ensure that the offering used against you is nullified, as opposed to only a smaller chance if you use a map offering yourself, the randomness of the map chosen nullifies this advantage a bit.
  2. Even if no map offering is used, the ward is consumed. This is unlike all other map offerings, where if the map chosen isn't the one you're sent to, the map offering is returned. As a result, you go thru them incredibly quickly, which is also affected by...
  3. They're the same rarity as map offerings, so they're incredibly diluted. Even on killers I get all perks on, I'll still only have like...5 by the end of the leveling. So 5 games later, I'm out, even if no map offerings were used.

Like I said, I love the addition of the sacrificial wards. Nothing is better than denying a Strode Key or RPD badge. I just think they should be more available. Some possible changes I'd like to see implemented:

  • Don't consume if no map offering is used. Seems like a no-brainer
  • Make map choice random, but remove the possibility of the realm that was burned. I don't know if this is already implemented, and I've never experienced it, but if you were to predict correctly, ward a Lery's offering only to be sent to Treatment Theatre anyway, and your offering was consumed, I'd be irritated.
  • Finally, potentially lower the rarity to yellow? This one might not be needed if the first suggestion is taken, but it'd be nice because they'd be significantly less rare if not included in the pool that already has every map offering it. As is there are 23 green offerings for killer, and 24 for survivor, so it's very rare to see them.
