The woke culture got dbd now...

I also know of some blizzard devs. Ones dead and buried after she killed herself because of the culture and abuse, but I guess you only care for the living huh?
11 -
Omg you are a terrible person ! Dont make me say what I didnt said.
You just like those people of harass other to say something like that, Im done with you.

Boycotting =/= massive firing of employees unless the company decides to double down all the way into the grave. A course correction will save their profits. Firing employees won't make the customers come back.
And hey, call me an optimistic idiot, but there's a ton of people out there who find themselves acutely spending a little less on 1v4 asymmetrical horror games, so if all the devs up and left to kickstart a new project, they might just get the funds they need.
12 -
Oh good, it's politics hour on the forums. 😒
2 -
Hey, I might still play the game tonight; but I'm not spending money on it for a long while.
Wasn't really planning to anyway, but I definitely won't now. I feel like if I drop a load of cash into the game, BHVR will be thinking that they made the right call.
6 -
I think I'm the same too. I will probably play but not spend money

Disliking NFTs isn’t “woke”. I’d also say that this community isn’t all “woke.” I have been called the F word for my pride charm numerous times. Way to expose yourself as an insecure, privileged fool.
7 -
I never say blaming NFT is woke. I said boycotting Behaviour for that is wokeness nonsense.
They are not directly involved in NFT and are not responsible of anything. They dont own the model they created.
2 -
Protesting something is not woke. If someone has an ethical disagreement with something, that thing can be boycotted. No one is trying to “cancel” BHVR, they are just voicing their opinion.
10 -
If think you are voicing your opinion. And I agree with that.
But the majority of the forum are like "Im uninstalling blah blah blah" "Behaviour are monsters lets boycott!!!! Yayyyy" "I wanted to leave, kow I have a reason, peace"
And its just ridiculous and childish.
2 -
But... A boycot is just a form of protest? So, is protesting for what you believe in childish? I'm not following your logic.
10 -
There is other ways to protest, boycott is not the only option.
And boycotting is bad for employees.
0 -
Uuuh or they can just change how they work ? Because people are complaining about how they are managing the entire game ? If BHVR fires employees because of a boycotting, it is just telling they are garbage and that they won't change. So we would know it's a lost cause and leave.
But if they make an apologize message for the community, and that the next updates prove they have changed their way of working, it's another thing and we would stay.
They will gain far more money by changing than just firing people.
7 -
No it's not, it's them making their voice heard, and sending a message to BHVR as to why they're no longer supporting them, which is an essential part of any protest.
There's not much use in a boycott if the target has no idea why they're losing customers.
4 -
I’d suggest maybe you should wake up and start reading their own tweets before you type something. They explicitly said “We’ve been working with *insert NFT company* for months”.
11 -
They are directly involved, that is pretty much exactly what they said.
5 -
Have you ever heard of critical thinking?
1 -
They are not the ones who sell NFT, they just created the model of Pinhead. Is this that hard to understand ?
Its too easy to say Behaviour are just evil company blah blah blah.
And as I said before, im not supporting the company, I support the game and the devs. So they will eat my money.
2 -
Yes, they did create the model and then GAVE them the model and Pinhead DLC steam keys for these NFTs. I don't think YOU get it. There is no way to support the game and its devs without supporting the company at the same time. Whatever money you give for the devs and the game, goes back into the company. BHVR is now associated with the term of NFTs, they may not sell them but they are involved in the matter because they worked with the two companies to give them the things they need to create these NFTs.
6 -
They dont own the model because its license, I think YOU dont get it. They are not involve or related to NFT, just with the model, they created it, they dont own it, thats a BIG difference.
2 -
BHVR themselves stated that they collaborated to make this NFT crap possible, how are you excusing them from their culpability when they, themselves, admit to it!?
6 -
You're no better than the people you're trying to talk down to. Most people who throw around "woke culture is doing x" greatly over estimate the value of their opinion and come off just as preachy as the people who actually think boycotting the game will actually somehow have an effect on what is clearly a mutual business arrangement that was probably needed to make the Hellraiser paragraph happen.
There is nothing woke about not wanting to tacitly a company when they do something you do disagree with. It's also not wrong to be concerned about a company you have supported and regularly engage with doing something that could harm that engagement. There is a non-zero percent chance that models found in this game becoming NFTs could run afoul of Steam's updated rules
Also please go learn what the term "woke" means. I swear the internet has robbed all since of cultural context and meaning from "Woke".
2 -
While PAE owns the hellraiser license, you have to remember that BHVR is in a contract with them. This entire thing could have been avoided if they turned down Pinhead because of the terms it takes to add him into the game. No one wanted Pinhead that badly for them to get involved with these two companies doing this NFT scheme. Now their reputation seemingly got worse, new players are turning away and old players are leaving. I rather have no Pinhead than whatever this situation is.
7 -
No one wanted Pinhead that badly ?
Are you kidding ???? You all wanted him, there was a forum post everyday about him.
I just cant read this hypocrisy anymore.
1 -
I don't think you know what woke means. Even they don't refer to themselves by that anymore.
3 -
yes we all wanted him, but not at the cost of BHVR supporting an NFT, take things with context, as opposed to stating things without context to suit your narrative.
8 -
He wasn't nearly that high in demand. Springtrap and Candyman were more requested.
And even if he was, that doesn't mean he was in demand -under these circumstances-. If he'd released with the same licensing deal as literally every preceding killer, there wouldn't be a problem.
And hey, that might've been a reality if they waited half a year, since apparently, the current license holders are losing the license in December, so they could've negotiated a far more reasonable deal.
6 -
There is no world where Candyman was more requested. Well, maybe a world where Candyman was the Cenobite in Hellraiser, I guess... Or one where he never existed. Other than that, no shot.
3 -
There’s much hypocrisy. All the people talking about global warming own computers, play on video games, have phones, internet, 5g, cars, use public transport, so on so forth.
2 -
Thank you
2 -
yes, but the amount a single person contributes to global warming is inconsequential to that of big corporations. Your entire lifes contribution to global warming is equal to a single second of contribution from the worlds industry. Stop trying to blame individuals, and instead realise we aren't the issue. It's the companies we enable that are.
10 -
Those individuals are part of a collective. That’s the point isn’t it? You’re supporting and utilising the things that in your view, have a negative impact on the environment. Every game you buy a game, every time you check your Twitter, or pay your electricity bill, drive your car, get on a bus or on a plane, etc.
0 -
and it has such an insignificant effect. What people should do, and what I do, is use your damned right to vote. vote out the people who enable big corporations to burn so much fossil fuel. Or help invest in new green technologies. This "oh well you do X, X and X" is so impossibly ignorant to the bigger issues. If the leading contributors to global warming didn't produce as much as they do, we wouldn't be in our predicament. The consumers aren't to blame, it's governing bodies and corporations.
9 -
You’re saying that the gaming industry, the automobile industry, the food industry, to give just three examples, have an insignificant effect on the environment? If that’s the case, what have you against NFTs?
Those industries don’t exist just for the sake of it, they provide goods/services to the consumer for a profit. You. Your neighbour. Your friend from work, all part of the collective supporting and being provided for by the very corporations and industries you profess to oppose.
That’s why this NFT controversy is being labelled as “woke.” The people creating the controversy don’t stand by their principles. They happily indulge in a plethora of activities and services that, in their own view, harm the environment every day.
0 -
If you care about the devs you would hate the nfts as well
6 -
Are you honestly trying to suggest that NFTs are more harmful to the environment than the automobile industry? Which is only one of the things I listed.
0 -
no, you've completely misread what I said. I stated that we as individual consumers have an insignificant effect, and we need to hold the companies we consume from accountable. If companies were to beginning making a shift to green energy, there wouldn't be this problem. And in fact, it isn't an issue in the automobile industry as a majority of those companies are making the shift to sustainable and green energy. however people continue to believe they are the issue behind global warming, because that's what corporations want you to believe. You are one of the people who seem to believe that those who participate in a lifestyle they have no control over are at fault. Which is exactly the reason why we're so ######### as a species right now. You need to start realising we aren't the issue for partaking in the activities. But rather those giving the activities to us are the issue.
6 -
But I HATE NFT ! I dont support it at all, but dbd is not related to NFT thats what people dont understand.
1 -
By supporting the hellraiser chapter and bhvr at this time you're supporting the holders of the license that had the idea to work with nfts and are giving the message to the higher ups at bhvr that people will forgive us for whatever stupid deals we make with licenses
11 -
Automobiles are a physical thing and are necessary for transportation for some
Nfts are purely digital and are a blatant ponzi scheme
9 -
I read what you wrote, you're just misunderstanding what I'm saying.
The individuals are the “problem.”
The corporations are there because the individuals are there.
The individuals are the ones buying the goods/services from the corporations.
They are the ones enabling and supporting, directly.
Thus, you can't say the individual is “insignificant” or not to blame, because it's this collective of individuals that are creating the entire “problem” in the first place.
We can talk about green energy until the cows come home but the fact of the matter is that everyone’s being hypocritical. Most people won't stand by your principles when it affects their lifestyle negatively.
You want to play on video games, post to twitter and Facebook with your fancy phone, grab a takeaway and watch Netflix, etc etc etc, regardless of whether or not it impacts the environment.
0 -
Wait I got confused I thought you were the one making the original comparison my b
1 -
Firstly you're asking the wrong question.
The correct question is “what impact has the automobile industry had on the environment vs. NFTs and where do the projections lead us.”
This can be worded in several ways giving emphasis on emissions etc, but the principle is the overall impact of the entire industry.
You're just asking to compare one transaction to the emissions of one random vehicle over the course of a year. That's an asinine question and the answer would be mostly irrelevant. It doesn't for example take into account the environmental impact of factories, warehouses, construction, equipment, maintenance, offices, personnel, importation and exportation, the list goes on for quite a while.
0 -
All of this is completly false, im laughing right now 😂
0 -
And congrats you went too hard with the bait
2 -
OMG.... I'm not even outraged about NFT and even I'm beyond disgusted with the OP's disparaging use of "Woke Culture".
The idea behind being "Woke" is that you are mindful and aware of the potential harm you can do to others and your environment through thoughtlessness. By disparaging such an idea of being mindful, you have revealed yourself to be a thoughtless sociopath with no empathy to those around you and thus can be safely ignored.
9 -
That doesn't refute any of my points though. Different people have different values and they put value in things differently.
Automobiles are indeed necessary as transportation for many people, however they aren't exclusive to these people and the industry has still caused tremendous harm to the environment.
Everyone who cares about the environment and who doesn’t absolutely need a vehicle for travel that can't be worked around some other way, should get rid of their vehicle and stop paying for fuel.
They won't though because it's inconvenient and their convenience is more important.
You're posting in this thread. You're either using a phone or a computer and you're using some kind of internet connection. You're actively harming and supporting harm on the environment as you post in a thread about harming the environment.

No. Woke culture is a self centred movement of people who think they are superior than others.
Im just honest and I have my opinion. Woke people cant stand others opinions, they just think they are right about everything even if they are wrong.
They just want to do unecessary battle to feel themself better. They dont help anybody.
